Last time we were in L1 was only for 1 season and it was the Covid season so tickets were irrelevant. I completely agree that £25 is too much, I'll be paying that the odd games I'll be going to this season and it's a lot of money. I don't know the rules but for the same stand that away fans are in it's £25 for home fan tickets. Pretty sure that's the most expensive match day ticket. I thought the rule was that it couldn't be higher than what home fans pay?
Yeah you're probably right about that being the rule, knew there was something about it but wasn't sure. And yep, I'll be paying these prices and I'll be coming to Swindon, I've never been so it's pretty much top of my list this season. It sounds tight to be quibbling over a couple of quid but it all adds up over the season I guess. I think £20/21/22 should be the top ticket prices in this division personally. It's even more striking when you can pay less than a fiver more for Championship tickets.

Jesus, not sure Swindon has every been the top of anyone's list to visit. I dread to think of the places near the bottom?? :) I wouldn't get overly excited. I think the Merlin is supposed to be good for away fans drinking, seems to be a good mix of home and away fans. Not even sure when we are playing so getting way ahead of myself here!!

“The club has been allocated a total of 676 tickets for the clash. This is the full allocation of tickets for the encounter, with no more to be made available.”

Hartlepool tickets received. Another shocking allocation - L2 shock horror.

These tinpot teams with their tiny allocations…..

Hahaha it's more of a County Ground thing than a Swindon thing! Looks like a good old skool ground. As long as I can find a pub in town for some beers before I'll be happy.

£27.50 all in with delivery for my Rochdale away ticket. I know they've been in L1 but £24 for a L2 away ticket is scandalous.
Don't disagree. I wince at paying more than £20 for a ticket anywhere. Not that it excuses things but we aren't the only club with pricey away tickets in this league. Swindon for us in a couple of weeks is £25. I'm sure I paid £25+ at Hartlepool in 2013/14 too.

Got to ask why you're paying for delivery though. Do we not allow for collection on the day?

Yeah, that's fair enough mate. I like you lot as a club, it's not a Rochdale problem at all it's a wider problem.

We're never offered pick up on the day when away tickets come out. It's just collection from our office or delivery, always those two options alone. Had quite a few matches in the Conference last season that were sold by the home club only and they were generally QR codes so that was ideal really. The only disadvantage of that is that it meant we were unable to implement any kind of loyalty system for away matches.

Ours are £20 match day tickets, but it goes to £25 on the day. I’m not a fan of it going up as some casual fans won’t decide until the day so best to keep it at the best price. Anything above £20 in league 1 & 2 is scandalous tbh.

Not sure a figure has been announced but if there was over 100 Harrogate games at Crewe then it was only just, for a first away game at a ground they've never played at before on the back of an opening day 3-0 win.

I knew they were a small club but wow I don't think any other team in the history of the football league would take so few in the same circumstances.

Salford had 121 at the CG yesterday. Probably a few more than I thought they’d bring.

Wigan once took 89 to Spurs for a Prem match on a Saturday.

So, there has been a bit of a conversation on stagsnet and it appears that we got it wrong.

During the game it was announced that the crowd was 5,300 odd, but afterward it was “corrected” to the attendance given out of 7,100 or so

Now the latter crowd was quite clearly wrong and they’ve either counted the STHs that didn’t go or they’ve cocked it up.

It’s also hard to believe that they’ve counted STHs who didn’t go as the difference in the attendances is 1,800 - clearly 1,800 out of 4,500 didn’t go.

In short we cocked it up

we've sold all the 700 initial allocation that Blackpool gave us for the Carabao cup game tomorrow - with more pay on the day available.

We did the same last week with our home game against Grimsby - crowd announced as 8,300ish - There was at least around 1,200 less than that in the ground with the empty seats scattered around!

Yeah, and it was blatantly not 7,100 as it would have meant the home ends were 6,500 or so full out of around 7,200 which simply wasn’t the case.

They’ll probably just pick a figure out of a hat against stockport a week on saturday
