19,500 for our opening game, be lucky to get anywhere near 6,000 in the cup tomorrow and the game against Newport at the weekend will be circa 15,500 ish.

Attendances, ay. One of life’s true mysteries.

Yeah, and it was blatantly not 7,100 as it would have meant the home ends were 6,500 or so full out of around 7,200 which simply wasn’t the case.

They’ll probably just pick a figure out of a hat against stockport a week on saturday

Both seem wrong to me, I noticed quite a few empty seats around me which is unusual although you always get a lot of regulars missing around august. QLE looked pretty full though.

Hartlepool sold out.

It was supposed to go on sale to season ticket holders at 9 but as usual our club fucked up and they weren’t available, then I go into a meeting and they’re sold out when I come out. Fucking annoying.

495 Cobblers in a crowd of circa 7,100 at Grimsby

I wonder if that included the many of us who were let in through the big gate by the stewards, with only a cursory check of our tickets? They didn't even rip off the perforated part?
Not sure, but I felt that there were quite a few more than the actual figure announced?

Was a bit disappointed that although programmes were complimentary for the Grimsby home fans, we had to purchase at £3 a go, is that their method of getting away with charging away fans more?

The reason they are free is that the ST package included a free programme. Then we sold 5.7k STs and the club decided to print 6k and make them free at home turnstiles. I think this will be the last season we do a printed programme.

On tickets sold v attendances there is long thread on the Fishy on how the attendance on Saturday could only be 7,154 when home capacity was completely sold out. It appears we don’t known what the actual capacity of BP is.

I think it was about right and we had a fair number of STH and corporate no shows. I also think the Northampton of 495 looked correct.

My parents went and also said they were just shown through a gate without a real check of tickets

Considering you took 600 to a playoff semi I can't imagine there were that much more than 500, didn't look/sound like there were.

6000 programmes were printed out as a thanks to the 5700+ ST holders too, so yeah nowt to do with away fans there sorry pal.

We've sold over 1000 for Rochdale apparently. Annoying that it's been hampered by the train strikes but won't diss them too much as I support our train brothers in their quest for fairness and justice. ✊ However that'd have been a nailed on 1500+ away following for us otherwise.

I've just had a scan of your forum and saw some fans planning to get the tram from Manchester to Rochdale (assuming they think there is a problem with the trains?). Don't do that. There's no strike on Northern Rail and the train from victoria takes about ten mins versus 45min+ on the tram. Also the added bonus of avoiding a non league flashback on a trip through Oldham if you dont get the tram.

Sold out all tickets Salford sent us the other day, including all the seating. But still 900 terrace tickets available on the day. Probably sell 500 or so of those so around 1000 following I'd guess.

787 Crewe at Salford. Less than I thought would go but I suppose the heat and train strikes took its toll abit. Still managed to run out of water and any other soft drinks before half time in the away end. Started charging £1 for a cup of tap water. What a horrid club they are.

271 Col U at Edgeley Park today, good turnout considering the travel issues, and you'd have to say they deserved better than the shite their team served up.

Considering the train strike and other last minute cancellations and the heat, that is a superb effort :bravo:
No one on the train from Sheffield - some may have driven to Donny and gone via Leeds. TPE are a disgrace - should be nationalised.

Nice invite from Rochdale cricket club on Facebook - a few watching the cricket and having a pint after

That 171 Newport number looked very generous, seemed to be about half of that.

All train companies are being nationalised under the new Great British Rail at the end of next year

Not great numbers. I’m sure they usually bring a few more.

16,500 home fans, however - fantastic!

Concessions instead of franchises on GBR network whatever that means. Suspect they don’t know yet. TPE should be taken into public ownership now.
