It's definitely 601 going by the fan in this footage...

Someone on Twitter said Harrogate cancelled 400 tickets in the home end, paranoid c***. Glad some slipped through the net bet there were more than just him it’s over 600 higher than their other highest attendance of the season. Hopefully we won’t have to play them again after this season awful little club.

Agreed. If we don't get promoted I'd definitely like to see them go down. Absolute pointless club.

Only 212 Crewe fans at Carlise, train strikes probably effectively halved the figure, as its usually a game Crewe fans enjoy on the train.

I've seen 565 quoted for Barrow at Rovers but not on official site yet

Always talk about doing that for when we play them but it’s daft to turn down a 4/5k away following payday. I suppose it being a play-off game makes it more important but that’s still incredibly tinpot from the worlds second oldest non-league club.
They capped us at 2000 in the league too and then gave us another 500. Weirdly they did the same to Chesterfield later in the season but gave them another 1000. I'm sure they were trying to pull some schtick about clubs not being able to send back unsold tickets from additional allocations or something. Made beating them twice with injury time winners all the more satisfying in the end though, even if I was watching from a pub in Shoreditch for the playoff match.

Grimsby have allocated us 1,237 tickets. :err:
Yeah another frustrating one for you, apologies about that. I'd genuinely have a full away end of away fans if it was down to me and if it meant it was reciprocated universally. If it's any consolation, unlike your match at Harrogate, the home ends will be full for this one. As alluded to above, you can thank the likes of Notts and Halifax for this. Had these trailblazers not had the inclination to do this to us last season we'd probably still be giving the full Osmond End to you.

We've sold out the initial 1007 Stockport gave us and we're getting 300 more.

Our 1,250 for Orient away in 2 weeks time have whistled out the door. Should be a good one.

Turns out this might have just been online sales and not the ones in the ticket office. Are we the only club persisting with multiple ways of selling tickets?

No, it’s common practice as the away club has to buy the tickets and any unsold don’t come with a refund unless the games postponed

Are you sure? That seems like an insane system. I just assumed the tickets are sent by the home club and the away club pays for what they sell?

That’s also my understanding of how it works now (not sure when it changed to that and yes it’s insane).

Yeah pretty sure rover is right, hence why clubs always get initial allocations as the club have an educated guess at their away following for that match.
Then if they sell well and demand is there clubs buy more.

So why is the wording always "Such and such a club have given us an allocation of..."? And what happens when an away club overshoots by hundreds? I don't buy that clubs are sucking up thousands of pounds. Also, how do they work out how many kids/OAPs/students tickets to buy in advance?

It’s up to the away club not to overshoot by hundred which is why you often hear initial allocation rather than total. Fairly workable if you underestimate how many fans you’ll have and there’s pay on the day available.

I don’t know about the concessions part, but I’d guess clubs have a fair idea about their fans demographic from the home gates and previous away trips.
