Yes fully agree what a fantastic support even more so from a team with little to play for. Grimsby look a half decent team with some of the characteristics required to do well at this level, they are probably similar to ourselves from our 12/13 season when we reached the league cup final and our league form as a result constantly took a huge hit from fatigue etc. The difference only being is we had a squad way too good for L2 and as a result managed to salvage 7th place after the final and scraped up through the playoffs. Where as second half today they just looked like they'd had a long season and had nothing left, fair play though entertaining game which admittedly we didn't play great but we had to leave everything out there today to get the points.
Yeah I think there's certainly an element of that, I've mentioned our bonkers March a few times now so I'll drop it after this post but that was our 10th match since the start of March, the 7th on the road. The fact that we went to a promotion chasing side and competed is decent in itself. Disappointing to not win having lead quite a way into the second half but again like the Crawley match less frustrating as we're not going up or down.

I wasn't there yesterday but nice to read positive comments from both sets of fans on the support yesterday too.

seemed like a nice bunch too - chatted to a couple before the match who wanted to know where they could pick their tickets up - said they had to get up at 4am for this one. I said i'd done Ebbsfleet and Dover away in our NL days and was at Uni in Canterbury so knew what the journey was like.... respect

We've been given 960 for our trip to Northampton on Easter Monday - is that just the bit behind the goal or does it give us the side bit as well?

We took 895 and just had behind the goal, so I'd imagine that's what you've got.

Sold our allocation for Barra, snapped up within a couple of hours of going on sale. Be a few blues dotted around Holker Street, I imagine.

Anybody know how many Crewe fans at Donny on Saturday. It looked like about 400 but not seen any official numbers

We tried to restrict that against Northampton last season going off new accounts with Northamptonshire post codes when buying tickets. Not sure how successful that was however.

I’ve seen 345 quoted.

Looks like we've sold out the initial allocation of 2977 for Donny. Hopefully we can get a few more. We won't get the full 4000 as we've gone for unallocated seating. Seems like the club have messed up a bit going for the full Bradford amount instead of Donny.

Not too successful I think.

We've sold out our allocation. Sold initial 1068 - then they gave us an additional 429 IIRC, which has now also been sold.

The extra 429 was extra seating.

Hardly, we know we’re getting battered
Bit of a weird one isn't it? It's almost like SYP forgot to change it to a midday kickoff and have now shat the bed when we've asked for more. Also odd that it's unreserved seating. Was that the case for the Bradford fans when they got the full 4000? I'm wondering if we overestimated our demand for Bradford and underestimated it for Donny.

It’s unreserved seating behind the goal in the home end, I would imagine it would be the same in the away end. No idea why you can’t have anymore other than SYP not allowing it

From recollection, I think Donny made a late call when allocating us an additional 700. This might be the case with you lot.

Ah cheers. Got them on a Tuesday so that’ll be more than enough.

It’s standing, not seating. The away fan overspill area is the uncovered terrace between the main stand and the scoreboard

We got the additional 700 tickets 8 days before the match

I remember the day they were allocated very well Firthy as I was going to get one, but had a family bereavement the same day, so never got one in the end
