Nope that'll be your lot mate, there was only 100 tickets left in the home ends last I heard.
Just a few singles left now. Grimsby v Hartlepool, 4th tier, mid-table v second from bottom - sold out; I've been to a few Gy v Pools games over the years, at both venues, with about 3k there and 200 away fans. This is a really splendid reflection on the importance of both of our clubs in our somewhat forgotten provincial towns...needs some Cleethorpes Indie to celebrate Orphan Boy

Fair play to Hartlepool and Tranmere, both had cracking followings on Friday.

Tranmere wasn’t that impressive - it’s only 2 hours away - £10 a ticket

It is over three hours on a good day. In reality it was five hours because of Bank Holiday traffic.

We have no manager, are 23rd in the form table, and have nothing to play for, so I think it was a decent turnout.

Having lived in the North-West of England I would be shocked if you could do Merseyside to the Carlisle in 2 hours. And even if the tickets for the game were £10, it’s not as though travel is free, is it?

We have to go through the middle of Liverpool to get to Cumbria, so it is at least three hours.

It’s a very similar distance from Bradford - and I managed it in just over 2 hours when I went the other week.

Each to their own. I’m not saying it’s an appalling following, I just don’t get the hype around it. Had it have been full price what would they have taken? 400-500? Would that also be a great following all things considered.

Hmm, didn’t think so.

Them timings are bollocks though, I walked it last week and it only took me 38 and a half hours.

Those timings are nonsense. I have done the journey a dozen times and it has never taken less than three hours.

We usually take 900-1,000 to Carlisle.

Thanks for that.

So your following was lower than what you typically take.

Emphasising my point.

I'd say it was decent but not cracking if we're reviewing the adjectives used so far to describe Tranmere's following. The dead rubber factor has to be considered.

Not really. Still a good following for a journey of that length, for a dead rubber.

Looks like a few of our travelling contingent are stuck in the delights of bank holiday traffic on the M6. Hopefully they make it in time...
