Looks like Northampton are only allocating us behind the goal (960). Went on sale yesterday. Just working their way through who has what points - otherwise they’d have gone within an hour.

How easy it is to watch the game from the hill outside the ground - any perimeters in place?

Very easy, no one tries to stop you.

They gave us that many as well, but didn't sell the side stand tickets that are also sometimes reserved for aways. We didn't take the full 960 but I imagine if needed you'll get the extra couple of hundred on the side.

I’d like to think so too. Demand is there to take double that.

Regarding facilities, I have never availed myself of their use so someone else we've played recently will have to let you know.

Regarding segregation, all I can say is the GMP's post-match efforts are so inept I'm sure somebody there actually wants things to kick-off in order to justify their costs - I've seen several occasions where things could've been very nasty, but kids these days prefer to wait until there's a fence in the way or some police around before they start waving their arms in the air (I don't want to encourage violence, I just find it all cringeworthy).

And regarding the allocation - if the club have gone back on a previous offer, then I agree that's out of order particularly given the potential importance for yourselves. From what I gather special dispensation has been granted under rule 35.3.1 to give less than 10%. At worst, you're getting up to 850-900 which isn't significantly worse than the 1,300-1,400 we've been giving everyone else.

It's all substandard, so the sooner the new Railway End gets built the better. Like yourself I live ten minutes from EP, I'll miss the view of the Cheadle End but upgrades for the other stands are decades overdue.

It got a bit out of hand before and after the game when we visited, police blocked out outside the turnstiles but fans just merged a few hundred yards up the road.

Stags have only been given 989 tickets for Colchester on the final day.
Will that just be the first lot and will we be given more?

Surely you’d want as few fans as possible there to watch you bottle promotion on the final day for the 27th season running.

I don’t think you’ll get the side stand, we sold it v Stevenage and it was empty v Gills because for walk ups it’s a thoroughly miserable experience in that shell of a stand on a rotten day. Similar to Stockport County’s open end.

Last home game of the season we’ll be keeping it for ourselves I should think

What's the maximum we'll be getting at Carlisle? hellogregory Carver Sorry I know there's a couple more Carlisle lads couldn't remember all the names.

We were given 778 which sold out, been given another 150 on sale tomorrow which I'm pretty certain will sell out quick. Is that all we get? I get that we won't get that open terrace but I thought that side block or two held about 1'500? If it's reduced to get more home fans in, fair enough, we're doing the exact same to Rochdale and Hartlepool by the sounds of things.
Carlisle will need that big stand mate, they get 11,000 every week now.

Easy to watch from there but you won't see both goals. Here's a pic I took from up there as I made my way to the ground back in Feb. That's pretty much on the edge of the top of the hill. I get that you'd want to be there but if you haven't got a ticket I'd just watch it at home instead of having to put up with missing all the goal mouth action at one end of the pitch. Maybe you could further to the left to open the view up a bit more but I'm not sure if the view would be that much better...

Northampton sold out.

A guy released a video on YouTube about the experience on the hill. If you move to the right, you can see the goal opposite the away end.

It’s not for me, but I think plenty of ours will sample that experience.

To be fair most teams that have sold out have said there’ll be hundreds on the hill and it’s very rarely reality

Depends on the significance.

If a win solidifies our automatic promotion chances then, yeah, a fair few will travel.

Our game in hand (Crewe) is the following Wednesday, so I’d expect that to be more of a go to fixture for our lot.

520 odd sold for Carlisle tomorrow + POTD. That’ll probably get some stick but it’s 4 hours 20 and 250 miles in the car, or £80-100 on the train for 5 hours. Not too shabby.

Reckon you'll bring a few who POTD? Our own sales for this one aren't great either - current sales stand at around 6k including your 500. Probably looking at around 8k in total, which is pretty disappointing for a game of this magnitude. Been disappointed with our home attendances this season for the most part - Bradford, Barrow, Stevenage and Tranmere games excluded.

Could be that a few are choosing Tuesday's game with Stockport, or it could be that we're one of the ficklest fanbases in the country, hardcore support notwithstanding!

Certainly won’t double the 500 or anything like that but I’m sure a few will

You're right it will get some stick and here it is. A team capable of getting 5/6k at home, in the auto spots and only 5 games out from the end of the season, should be taking 1000+ anywhere, especially to a promotion rival. Northampton fans just seem like a bit of an anomaly

We're as guilty as anyone with fucking around away fans tbf so it's not a get at Carlisle.

So as predicted the other 150 went in minutes. They've now released another 386 which go on sale on Monday. And then to add to that they're saying they'll be 200 available on the day at Carlisle.

Why do they not just release them all in one go. Is it to deter it from being full? Because I wouldn't fancy travelling up to Carlisle without a ticket and they'll probably know that so that final 200 probably won't all go.

The 386 on sale Monday morning will obviously have to be picked up at Carlisle too, the game is the following evening.

We do this staggered sale thing ourselves too- but why? Just release them all in one go surely?

I'll never get my head around it. Surely league 2 clubs should be grabbing every bit of revenue they can?

If you're bringing too many for the seats they'll surely have to open the Waterworks terrace for you - holds an additional 1700 so there's plenty of segregated space. No excuse for turning folk away...

No other league system in the world would you get regular 4 figure followings for fourth tier football away games especially at this point in the season with lots of meaningless games.
I know supporting our crap teams can be a chore a lot of the time but we wouldn’t swap it for anything would we?
