However everyone knows clubs take higher numbers on afternoon games as against evening games as well as games which are close to the away side ( ie derby matches).Grimsby's away followings are usually impressive and have been consistent for a long time. But best away support in the country is a stretch.
I also thought that a mean average is not the correct way to do these but a better way is the median average. This reduces the effect of sell outs at derby games with small away capacities or massive one off attendances like Stags at County.
So I have done a proper willy waving table based on median average, distance travelled and if afternoon or night game. The list is based on a travel distance of 150 miles on an afternoon or a night game distance of 100 miles.
