I had that flag made about 20 years ago as a very young man. Love how iconic it is, just a shame I've not seen it for over 10 years since I let someone else have it as I wasn't going many games at the time.

As for Grimsby away, we always travel extremely poorly to Blundell Park, even in the championship never took more tha a few hundred. The fact we took exactly the same 192 to sutton away on a Tuesday night 2 weeks ago says alot. Our numbers have been quite good this season, with a few sell outs to boot aswell including our friends Port Vale down the road who couldn't allocate little old Crewe enough tickets,l, infact we sold out in a day or 2.

It's a cracking flag.

Yeah my take on that flag is that they are proud of where they come from so nothing wrong with that IMO.

We've sold our initial 400 tickets for our pre-Xmas jolly to FGR next Friday. Not bad for an evening game, I believe we're expecting our second allocation in the coming days.

Grimsby/Donny fans, are we expecting a sold out away end at Field Mill over the Christmas period? I would presume so but the kick-off times may put some off. I reckon both games will be close to a full sell out.

I would expect us to sell out on Boxing Day although you never know.
I’m supposed to be working that night but I’ve managed to get a ticket for me and my lad so I can feel a sickness bug coming on that night.

P-P is probably most likely with how things are at the minute.

Definitely be 4 figures, probably 1500+ but perhaps unlikely a full sell out I'd say given no trains and an early kickoff. Anyone coming from the South has probably sacked it off like I have. Having said that, I'm more confident of a sellout with Artell in charge than I would have been had Hurst been here still, there's definitely a renewed sense of optimism among the fanbase right now.

If anyone doesn’t come up with an official figure for the number of Newport fans at Tranmere, then I am going with an estimate of 200.
It was around that maybe a little under, no idea why the official figure hasnt been reported.

I would expect there to be some neutrals in that number. It’s the only way members of the 92 club can get tickets to get back to 92.

Our last away game of season within about 130 miles of Gy is on Boxing Day, save for Harrogate which doesn't really count as a local game because of the ticket restriction. We've also lost AFCW on the Saturday which is always good for a London Mariners turnout. Salford and Accy should be 7/800 but unless Artell-ball shoots us up the table Mansfield will be our last 1k+ following, and a plummet down the table. Think we'll end up about 9th.

Our average should start to climb going into 2024.

Doncaster, Crewe, Accrington, Wrexham, Grimsby and Salford to come - all sellouts barring Donny next Friday (but expect us to FETCH 2,500+ anyway).

Walsall for our last awayday could be another decent following, depending on anything riding on it.

Either way, I’d expect us to finish top three - 1,200-1,300 ish.

Our average will continue to fall, Sutton next, then limited to 906 at Stockport.

We usually do but probably a few hundred short this time round, evening kick off & recent bummings by you lot will put a few off, me included , dodgy stick for me I reckon (unless we beat Bradford & Notts in style)

Grimsby sold out in the home ends and i’d imagine donny will be too (only about 7,000 in fairness but heyho) so be nice if one or both get close to selling out, but with one being a 12-30 KO and the other being an evening one it’s fair enough if don’t sell out - i didn’t make donny away this season as was an evening match.
