Size doesn't matter when every tom dick and harry support Liverpool or United in our city
You can apply this theory to most towns and cities, including Oxford.

33 Morecambe bloody hell!

The smaller clubs with nothing to play for aren't going to travel particularly well, especially not on a Tuesday night. Same with our fans laughing at Crawley on Saturday, it's not particularly fair on the fans who did travel - I commend them doing that journey.

Our travelling support down to Exeter on a Tuesday night in a fortnight will interesting.

I think our lowest in the conference on a Tuesday night was about 70 to Crawley.

I think it will be about 50. 1 win in 10, maybe if we can get something Saturday and beat County but the season is over and it's a fucking long way!

Doesn't take a genius to know why that is, does it.

We have taken bigger followings than this year down south in seasons before but with a poor side, a club that's been in decline, the inclination and motivation from supporters to travel has gone. Oh sorry, you knew that all along didn't you?

I know Exeter's not far from Yeovil (something like 1 hour I think) but 1513 is a very good following.

Our 7579 on Saturday was our highest recorded/declared at Sixfields, we are expecting that to be increased before the end of the season.

Regarding Franklins Gardens: Apparently even if we wanted to (we don't) we couldn't because of Rugby Premiership rules regarding ground share with the rugby club being the landlord?

It wasn't a serious suggestion - just a little dig that the rugby club has double the capacity...and they've got a terrace as well...

Thought that it might have been but we have had many who have suggested that option over the years, expecially now they have a 17k capacity.
The majority would not want us to share, we had enough of that with the cricket club over the historical past. It was bad enough the cricket using the pitch as a car park from April to September without the mess the oval ball types would make of any surface like at Newport and Wycombe/Coventry. Plus the inability to maximise the off field profits would limit our budgeting even further.
