We sold out our initial allocation for Vale yesterday. Not sure what that was, heard it was around the 1,300 mark?

Apparently no more going on sale now but will be fine to pay on the day so reckon we could be anywhere from 1,500 +

No idea what we have been allocated by AFCW…I think the most we ever got given was 1,100 but last season it was circa 800 due to trouble at the prior game and AFCW putting in large amounts of segregation, so assume the latter. Tickets only available to STH and members as per last time.

Have you got an early kickoff, cos they’ve given us one( not tv related) and it’s not until April!

No - but it usually kicks off at 12pm-1pm.

North Yorkshire Police coppering up, but they’ve realised the fixture is a glorified friendly for all concerned. They could allocate us 4,000 and we’d shift ‘em, and they’d be zero trouble.

It’s just that kinda fixture.

Morecambe have given us 1,200 tickets. Midweek fixture - should shift them given their true name is Bradford-by-the-sea.

Guessing they’ll alocate another block as and when.

Its usually by blocks about 900 i think but depends how many you initially asked for, it can hold 3100 plus so plenty of space if needed, just remember its opposite end now so best to park at Dimensions

The CEO told Harrogate supporters the new away stands could hold a max of 1024. I don't know if other clubs round up their allocation. 1026 is close to the max we were told at the supporters meeting. I can see how they could squeeze another 1 or 2 places but not over 50.

Seems a strange one Ainsty for sure, I suppose it’s hard to get a total accurate number sometimes and it’s only a discrepancy of 55 or so, but it’s interesting.
I have read in a few places the away crowd was 1,081, but i agree it’s most reliable to use the official Harrogate one given there, although it did seem extremely crowded in the away standing area to the point people were stood in the isles.

Our assistant manager mentioned in his presser today he thinks we’re bringing between 2,000 - 2,500 which is far in excess than what I thought we’d take. Not sure if that’s actually factual or if he’s just presuming, but if it is true it just shows how behind the club everyone is right now cos that would be an outstanding following.

Is it free parking at Dimensions?

Never in a million years are you bringing 2.5k.

I don't think it's free, unless they've changed it. It's only a couple of quid anyway if the machines are still being utilised. If they've got stupid stewards on there like they had a couple of seasons ago prior to the stand switch, then they were charging extortionate prices at one point when we had a big away following turning up.

I’d also be surprised, it’s normally around the 1,000 mark when we go Vale, so anything over 2,000 or even close to that figure would be great to be honest.

Any street parking near the away end?

Also, any home boozers to definitely avoid? We’re looking for something that’ll be showing the 12:30 prem game where we can also get some good too.

Dolly’s Lane is probably your best bet or the side roads off that, especially if early and it’s near the away end, you go up past the old away end (Hamil Road) and turn left 100 yards or so past the church.

Not sure on pubs now as away fans don’t seem to go around the front of the ground now so for example the Vale social is within the home fan zone (away fans have a small one behind the stand I believe as you can’t drink alcohol in the concourse due to it having a view of the pitch.

Some of the more local Vale fans may be better placed to advise on that part. The ones off Hamil are certainly home fans only.

Not sure if still the case but a pub in Smallthorne used to post that away fans could park and drink there so might be worth looking on social media on that as they’d tag in the club to invite them.

Thanks for all that info mate, much appreciated!

Know anything about Moorland Inn and Sneyd Arms?
Both look similar to type of thing we’d be looking for, just want to make sure they’re not ‘home only’ types.

Those two would be fine mate. Moorland is right at the very top of the huge road that leads down into Burslem. Sneyd Arms is miles away from the ground, so again, not a problem. The only one I'd avoid is Ye Olde Crown (main lads boozer). The majority in Burslem are home fans only though. If any of your group are real ale, stout, Titanic drinkers etc... The Bulls Head is a cracking option. Little dearer than others, but decent and has a BBQ in the beer garden on matchdays usually. Always a mix of home and away in there.

As for parking, it depends what side of the ground you're wanting to be. As the fellow Vale fan posted above, Dolly's Lane is reasonable with plenty of parking but it's the complete opposite side of Burslem and is literally just close to the away end (there is a fanzone there now though). If you want to be within walking distance of Burslem itself, park on any of the side streets adjacent to Dimensions on Scotia Road or even on Dimensions itself if the council aren't charging dodgy amounts again and it's just the public machines as it's a couple of quid for your stay. You're literally then a 5 minute walk straight up into Burslem and it's also an easy getaway at full time. Just leave the away end, straight down the path and past the artificial pitches at Dimensions and work your way to the front again. Very straightforward and avoids any unnecessary mither that you'd get walking down Hamil Road.

Away attendance wasn't announced but from pictures I've seen, probably 6-700.

Well you gave us 1,100 the first time (sold out), 850 or so last season (sold out), even less this season (think it was 700 or so)…probably give us 500 next season…eventually just making the away end a segregation net and nothing else.

It feels like your club/the police have not wanted us to bring more since some of your fans got chased off by some of ours in 2022 (the “oh shit” and cut to your Stone Island clad divs shitting themselves is a classic video that never fails to be funny given we are a certified family club)
