According to my paper the total crowd was 3,045, in which case we provided over a third.

Less than 400 tickets left for our game at Hartlepool (1023 allocated) so far. Club shop opens for the first time this year tomorrow: should sell out. They tonked us at our plaice, but hopefully we will repay them this time around. We also owe them for an 8-1 thumping a few years ago.

Other than the relegation, that was probably the worst experience of my Town following life. At least when the Wendies spanked us that time John Oster scored a wonder goal and it was in a quality stadium not on a Friday.

Not seen a figure for us at Morecambe but a few estimates of around 400.

I wasn't at the Friday evening thrashing but was at Hillsborough for that 7-1 game (and some years later when we knocked them out of the League Cup). Actually I've seen some really awful games over the years: try to remember the better days if I can though (six at Boston, winning at West Brom, Wolves etc, etc).

I went to Wolves and West Brom many years back in the same season and amazingly we won both games 1 - 0.
The Brom game was the first away game of the season and Danny Coyne saved a Bob Taylor penalty before Alan Pouton smashed in a penalty of our own near the end, proper smash and grab as Brom absolutely battered us all second half.
The Wolves game was when Kevin Muscat elbowed Boulding in the face right in front of us and the ref had the red card out of his pocket before we even had a chance to chant 'off off off'!
Then Andy Todd popped up with the winner and we went mental behind the goal and the Wolves fans in the same stand were giving it the cut throat gestures to us, both of those are in my top few away days ever.
Wolves were well clear of West Brom before we played them but they fell apart after we beat em and West Brom and Man City went up instead and Wolves lost in the play offs.

You do get a seat number but it's not enforced. Sit/stand where you want.

New ground for a lot of away fans and sometime since we have played a lot of teams in this division.

I can see our numbers going up significantly, both home and away, for the rest of the season but we'll still not come close to the top 6.

I'd take 7th in the league as well.......at the moment, even though I'll probably be above the Arctic Circle on Play-off Final day. Bugger that rubbish start and the penalties of habitual pessimism.

Stevenage is the next away game (28th Jan): if we are still 'doing well' I think we may take around a 1,000 there too. Same for Crewe on the 11th Feb which is the following away day.
