Yes but I didn't mention our support did I, I mentioned yours.
What has our support got to do with anything, much as I think ours is excellent I never come on here 'willy waving', I was not comparing the two, of course ours is having an upsurge after promotion, none of us deny that.
Like I said I never usually comment on other teams away support but I just thought that given your league position that you would have taken more.
No offence intended mucker. :)

The issue with Boxing Day is that there are no trains. Puts a lot of people off as it means organising usually expensive minibuses if hiring and driver and wanting a drink or one poor sod having to stay sober and drive.

Yeah I didn't factor in the lack of trains to be honest.
I always take my lad with me so it always works out cheaper to drive than pay for 2 train tickets, I stopped drinking when my eldest was born (10 years ago) so the not drinking doesn't affect me but I guess it does a lot of others.
All in all I suppose Donny's was not that bad then, as I said before I never normally comment negatively about others away support but I was expecting 2500+ Donny so was really surprised to see 1400, but given the trains and people giving football a miss for family time etc it was a bit harsh on my part so to DearneValleyRover, I apologise. :(

And as we are being nice to each other although Scunny did manage 1500 to Bratfud, I'm sure you would take near double in a similar league position...

Wouldn't expect anything less for Mansfield - I see you have been placed in the special needs class like we are with a 12.15 ko time.

Indeed we have although with it being New Year's Eve it works out better from a fans point of view

Nah fella just don't get all the Dick waving over away support as it's relative to how your team is performing. You've just come back into the league after a six year absence so your bound to get a good following. Spend three years of playing shite football and take over shenanigans and your following will drop. I'll leave you to stroke your knob over your magnificent support

I don't usually join in with the dick waving... but.

We have a similar level of home support to yourselves.

at Blackpool 100 miles 2752 fans
at Morecambe 70 miles 1996 fans

outnumbered the home fans on both occasions

:D

Considering we play in a beautiful seaside resort on the Lincolnshire Riveira the away support people bring is very poor. It has always been so for whatever reason. Discuss!

1,546 tickets sold by Luton fans for tomorrow's game at Pompey. Good turnout with train problems.

This raises and interesting question for me, on what basis are these figures based? There is no way 84 were in the away end at home park, I counted 60 and one of my sons 54, so call it 57. So is 84 based on tickets sold, meaning some 25 plus did not turn up?

The numbers are found in various places but mostly on trust. Maybe there were 20 plus away fans in the directors box or they had booked an executive box? This thread is only a bit of fun, but it does require people to be honest when posting totals.

The figure 84 was correct, it was what the club announced officially. I just could not work out the discrepancy between what my eyes could see and this figure, but I think you provide with hospitality the answer, plus possibly a few no-shows. Thank you.

No problem mate. It takes a lot of time and effort to formulate and keep on top of the numbers on this thread, so well done to the guys keeping tabs on it. True totals help keep it real.

Totally agree, bit of honesty required, anyway back on topic 1874 Stevenage at Doncaster today.
