We've sold 'over 400' for our trip to Salford this weekend. At that rate I'd hope for around 600 Gills on the day, maybe a few more depending on how 'over 400' our ticket sales have actually been.

Attendance at FGR was excellent v Wrexham, their highest of season.
Unbelievable for a Tuesday night.

Okay there were only six matches on Tuesday but I think it is the 1st time I've seen FGR top the attendances.
I'm wondering if many Wrexham bought tickets in the home end. :pond:
They weren't top, they were 4th out of 6, only the away attendance was top out of 6.

If you look at the ‘home fans only’ figures. FGR have had four attendances of just over 2100 with the majority less than 2000 With some even below 1500.
Last night they reported over 3300 in the home end.
Thats 1200 ‘locals’ wanting to catch a sight of the ‘stars’.

I was surprised how enthusiastically the usually empty but fairly packed North Stand cheered our goal on the highlights, thinking that would be a lot of away, but perhaps there really are more floating celeb chasers than you'd expect.

Is that a real attendance at Swindon - seems very high for a midweek Midtable Cup game - or is it one of those made up attendances like MK Dons and Donny?

Accrington have given us an additional 300, taking our allocation to 2,300+.

Ours aren’t made up, exact ticket sales, now whether they all turn up that’s a different question

Some clubs do it differently. We only recently moved to ‘ticket sold’ although the away turnout is on turnstile clicks.

Quite a few clubs refuse to come out and say it’s on tickets sold mind.

See Kevin Maguire is linking lower league clubs artificially increasing attendances and money laundering.

Every club goes on ticket sales, we had about 8k there against MK Dons and about 16k was announced. Still seems to catch some fans out.
We don’t, most games we have over 8k tickets sold but attendances are usually over 1k lower than actually sold.

Our attendances are very close to what is being announced to be fair, started splitting the away end in half so we can fit more in, probably a good 400/500 in the north stand against Salford. I reckon if we had the Bish sorted this season our average would a good percentage higher.

The Ian Greaves and Quarry Lane end look packed pretty much every game.

That’s because you are already polishing up that open-top bus that was so hugely feted when you won the NL. If you were conceding an average of 4.x goals per home game like us how many STH wouldn’t be turning up then?

Surely tickets sold = income. If youve Sold 6000 tickets @£20 that’s £120,000 in income. If you only declare 5000 in attendance then there is £20,000 unaccounted for.

Like I said I'm sure accountants are looking at how much money has gone through the tills not how many people walked through the gate. We are not hiding £20,000 behind the back of the sofa in the T-Bar because they decided not to turn up.

As you said its not cash handed to some random bloke at the turnstile anymore.
