Where's the official figure from? Our journalist has tweeted 4,987 and he will only quote what's given to him by the officials at the ground.

The Newport website also has 4,987

It’s from the BBC, but Alfie should know by now to take what they post with a pinch of salt.

Can't get 9k in Blundell Park despite what the official capacity states. Capacity is about 8.5k. Complete league sell outs seem to range from 7.7k to 8k actual attendance. Cup we've had 8.4k
I thought 2.5k in your end and maybe 3.5 max down the sides. A thousand STHs not turning for an early Ko televised game is very typical for most clubs with a few thousand STHs I'd have thought. It certainly is for us and that rises to 1500 or 2k midweek. At grounds with 15k plus STHs midweek televised have several thousand not turning up - Bolton / Huddersfield. It's definitely worse than last season with this TV deal.
It looked full to me in the home ends Saturday even in The Osmond , but only 6k announced think I am going to write off our attendance figures as just not correct now

It was rather disappointing to see a lot of seats spare in the home areas last Saturday, as we’d sold just over 7000 home tickets and I wanted one originally behind our goal and was informed we were sold out!. I actually questioned this season whether we were doing tickets sold or turnstile clicks as some games 7k home fans were announced and it’s been quite full. Our stand behind the goal was sold out which was just over 3k sold for example, probably 2400/2500 in there looked more accurate. Our crowds are up over the past year though. Probably the weather and the game being televised?…meant a few didn’t turn up who had tickets. We aren’t helped with our 15k capacity at times though, if we ever get as low as 3/4k crowds it wouldn’t look good. Anyway well done on a good following and deserved win.
At least you can offer the larger away capacity though that's what irks me we can only off 1k or whatever it is to the better supported clubs whereas Donny can offer what 3k ? Thats a 2k fans difference in income in our respective games .

Next season will be the real test when season ticket figures are announced , they won't be able to dress that up will they really . With the amount of mess about this season I'm sure on the fence people might just pick and choose more games rather than forking out £400 on something they won't be sure on what 25% off they might not be able to attend .

Main stand looked quite sparse from the Upper and there were plenty of spare seats dotted around near me.
Probably 350/400 in all the Osmond, which holds around 1800 in total.

6k looked about right to me

1,411 sold so far for the 12.30 at Tranmere Saturday. Will probably end up around 1,700 now I'd imagine. Not bad, shame it wasn't 3pm kick off otherwise would have been close to a sell out.

Yeah that’s true, there isn’t many teams who bring 1k+ however. Chesterfield, Notts county and yourself so far this year have sold 3000 no other team has hit 1k from memory, vale just under that. A lot of clubs at this level may bring 200-400, but you’re right with what you’re saying, Grimsby could do with an extended capacity even if not quite selling out at some point it may be necessary as you’re building on the pitch and have a good catchment area out there. Our capacity is just over 13k at the moment, frustrating as we’ve had a few home sell outs with the away end being near full but attendance ends up being 12.8/9k with people missing out on tickets!. We used to get 14.5k in our big games in the championship.

Been allocated just over 1400 for Notts away in a few weeks. With it being an early kick off on Sky, I doubt we will need anymore to be honest. Still not been given any tickets for Salford away though despite the game being only 12 days away.

Your ground won’t be big enough for us in April.

You’d probably say that about MK Dons’s ground too FiRTHY!.

I’m sure you will sell out comfortably though.Maybe the side bit may be used like the old 4k away followings as we don’t tend to use it for the home end often. It baffles me why it was left spare against some of the big away followings this season. Seems to be a lot more politics at play with given allocations nowadays throughout league two.

A lot of what I say is tongue in cheek, though. Whooooosh…..

I think we were the last ones to occupy the overflow away end in 22/23. Apart from the pitch invasions and police altercations, there wasn’t any bovverrrrrr!

Exactly!

Yes it doesn’t make sense why we wouldn’t, apparently if tickets are sold out quickly with the initial 3,000… the possibility to increase is still there. So you might well take that again as we will both be in the mix on that weekend, I’m sure. In terms of biggest league two followings at our ground, aside from Grimsby in 2016/17 and yourself in 2023, I’m not sure anyone else has brought 4,000 but I’m ready to be corrected if so!. Big big numbers at this level!. I just re read that.. apart from police altercations and pitch invasions hahahaha!. Out of interest does anyone know the biggest away followings in the league two era so from 2004 or whenever?. Surely not many over 4,000!.

Sold over 600 for Chesterfield away o Saturday. Our sales tend to rise quite abit in the week leading to the game, so I'd expect it will get pretty close to selling out.

Mansfield fetched 5,100 to MK in 2019. They prob took 4,000+ to Notts when the Kop was the away end. Walsall took big numbers to Notts in 2006/2007.

Possibly Hartlepool at Darlington in 2007?

I think plenty of clubs could fetch 4,000+ if grounds could accommodate them.

Lincoln to MK at the height of Cowley mania?
