maybe someone away at MK with that big away capacity possibly ?
That’s a good shout but haven’t they only spent a few seasons in league two?. I know they’ll break the records for away followings at there ground for the two leagues above probably.

Mansfield fetched 5,100 to MK in 2019. They prob took 4,000+ to Notts when the Kop was the away end. Walsall took big numbers to Notts in 2006/2007.

Possibly Hartlepool at Darlington in 2007?

I think plenty of clubs could fetch 4,000+ if grounds could accommodate them.
Isn’t that more than Mansfield averaged at home that season haha!. That figure may be it then 5100 must be hard to beat!. Darlington’s away end, was that like MK dons type size, suppose Hartlepool would have took a few thousand right but over 5k?.

I’d imagine Coventry would have that season they were down here or close to it at least. Maybe to somewhere like Notts.
Good shout but I don’t think Coventry’s figures were as high as people think back then which is understandable all considering the troubles they had. Wouldn’t surprise me though.

At least you can offer the larger away capacity though that's what irks me we can only off 1k or whatever it is to the better supported clubs whereas Donny can offer what 3k ? Thats a 2k fans difference in income in our respective games .
3k is the max now, we have allowed 4,200 in the past but that is giving the away team too much of an advantage plus in those games there is more demand for tickets from home supporters

We had 4000 odd at Sheff U, Sheff Wed and Forest on occasions a few years back I’m fairly certain. Had both tiers at both Sheffield clubs and the full end at Forest if I remember rightly

Mansfield gave us 3 sides one year too, both behind the goals and down the side when that was open. Not sure what it equated too but probably a similar number

We were referring to L2 fixtures, pal.

We’ve had more than our fair share of 4,000+ followings in the above leagues.

If the criteria is stretching...we took 25,000 to North West London once.

We took 61,000 to Wembley within the space of 12 week.

50k for us in 98.

No precise numbers for our 79/80 div 3 championship winning season, but deducting expected home fan numbers, I'd estimate 6.5/7k to Hull, 5k to Mansfield, and 4k to Chesterfield and Rotherham, plus 3k including a number of plane loads to Reading.
