As I’m now only a fan not a supporter i’ll be warm, full of food and tipsy in Wimbledon. So I say “play”

Don't worry Blue Lion. Palmer failed in the red card appeal (shock, horror), Morrais and Vincelot are still injured and our defence us still looking to give a goal away.

If we get a draw I would be happy.

1-0 down at Exeter means game over for us, we just don’t do comebacks. Best case scenario we get more rain and it gets abandoned

Hopefully the 25 MK Dons fans that travelled to Newport will get a refund.

We're winning...and (some of) the floodlights have gone.

An absolute spectacle at the Abbey. One of the worst ever footy games I've had the (dis)pleasure of watching.

We've got to win this one simple as, seeing there's no chance the ref will call it off.

ps - I see red hot relegation favs Carlisle are 3-0 up at home to Col U, one of the better sides in this league.

Shocking second half but again our character saves us with a late equaliser after Cheltenham went 2-1 up minutes before.

Yay we won a game! first in nine. It helped that Crewe were impotent. Thank you. Great effort to get the gsnr on. Best ground staff in the league.

Well we ended up beating Colchester 4-0 and it does not change anything really, unless we win our next match because this league is inconsistent as fuck and we are bang on mid table mediocrity.

But a big win is still nice. :)

Colchester were shit by the way, but it's no surprise a shit team is as high as 3rd in L2.

Useful win that. Crawley were there for the taking so I'm not surprised to hear they had a few players missing. Their keeper wasn't particularly impressive for either of the goals.

Bit of a farce at half time with the floodlights. If the game had been abandoned, I wouldn't have blamed Sol for resigning on the spot.

I'd call it luck not character.
2 points from Morecambe and Cheltenham is disgusting

It’s typical Vale isn’t it? Always do shit against the bottom clubs! Manny isn’t on it we aren’t.

That said we had the chance to make it 2-0 just before their equaliser which probably changes the game.

Being honest Darren I don’t like this new formation at home, it’s way too negative and allows opponents to have much more of the ball. What has happened to Ben? Playing well and now not featured in a month!

Probably a bit OTT to suggest Aspin doesn't like him or Miller but that's how it feels.
Today for example Gibbons had done nothing wrong yet a centre half played right back to accommodate Legge.

On to a defeat at Macc next I'd imagine

I don’t know, we are unbeaten in 4 now (think it’s 3 defeats in 13 in all comps?) so plodding along ok but feels frustrating that we’ve only taken 3 points from Notts County, Morecambe and Cheltenham. Too negative. Go for the jugular especially at home to teams struggling in the league with two up front and attacking full backs rather than encourage teams onto us like today second half.

Two goals we have conceded today were absolutely horrific too. First one need to be doing better with, second one it’s not even hit hard!

Character is good but oddly when chasing games we score late on! Similar to the Notts County scenario.

Our first goal was sexy mind, footballed it into the net!

Crewe were really poor and we deserved to win by a couple at least. Lee Martin scored an absolute belter and we created a number of chances.

Miller somehow missed an open goal late on after he rounded Pym which was hilarious and gut-wrenching in equal measure!! It would have been a proper kick in the bollocks had we chucked it away.

Onwards to Oldham

Back top after winning at a baltic sincil bank.
Shackell's free kick to make it 3-0 was an absolute belter.
We left with 15 minutes to go as my daughter was shivering with the cold. We weren't the only ones either!
I'm told Green throw his shirt into the crowd at the final whistle, leaving in January?

Yeah lots of people were understandbly leaving, and yes you're right about green throwing his shirt in to the crowd. Looks like he may actually be leaving unfortunately, still hoping he will stay!

Very good performance in the first half and took the foot off the gas second half. Results went our way. Very good weekend.

Game done and dusted before HT. You know it's going well when your 34 year old CB sticks a free kick in the top bin. Probably should have had another couple in the first half but overall we can't complain and the second half we just conserved energy and did the bare minimum.

The wind seemed stronger in the second half but even taking that into account, Morecambe didn't really threaten. Bit sloppy for their goal that probably wouldn't have happened had Eardley been on the pitch, but it's the law that Ellison scores against us anyway!

Bit cold, like, but not quite at the Hereford away 2010 level.

Good set of results, too. Even if Mansfield win their two games in hand, it leaves us 6 points clear of 4th with a game in hand I think so we're looking well placed heading into the Xmas and NY programme.
