I seriously felt unwell listening to those last 10 mins. An unbelievable ground out win. Sorry Exeter but that’s how we’re getting points these days! :brill:

How the hell did we win that?! Absolutely battered by the sounds of it. They hit the bar, had a few scrambles in the box, Pollock cleared off the line and of course the standard McKeown worldie save. Sounded like a very very ugly win, but our young lads are becoming more streetwise it seems.

What do the Lincoln lot call it? Game management?
Cheating.

Utterly woeful yet again today. No ideas at all, we're creating nothing and we still haven't scored more than once in a game since October 13th.

Good 0-0 away at Stags- we should have won it, really.

Happy to have got a point from that. We looked tired going into it and never really got control of the game as we have done recently. You pressing us from goal kicks with three attackers was a good tactic, clearly watched how we played in previous games. Felt like a goal for either side would nick it but felt you were a little better on the day.

Good set of results today and it feels like this is the first time we've taken advantage.

Doesn't sound the greatest performance, but these last few games we're a bit all over the place to an extent with some knocks and Cowley not really fancying the loan players to step in and give others time to recover.

It looked 4-4-2 for us today, which is unusual and we've never started Rhead and Akinde up front either.

I did wonder whether selling Green early was going to come back to haunt us again (if only for an attacking option from the bench) but that's a well dug-out win. Top, top free-kick from Eardley.

Not a pretty game and we were not on top form by any stretch of the imagination. Managed to grind out the win, though. Good following of over 2200 Imps as well. 6 points clear, Vale next.

What a bummer, totally undeserved defeat to the Crowley bros. On the positive side, we were without two of our midfield players, Deagan and Maris, and then o'Neil had to be subbed off after 55 mins or so. Btw, the yellow card for Anderson for the foul on O'Neil was the correct call, red would've been harsh IMO. In short, a very decent performance with a patched up side is more than satisfactory and I still believe we'll be fine.

Well done to the Imps keeper for that wonderful save on 90 mins or so. Don't know how he managed that one tbh. Well done to the travelling Imps fans too.

Thought a draw was fair. Swindon knew they’d never beat us and came for the draw, if anyone was actually going to win it, bizarrely or not it would have been Swindon. They had a few chances but mainly dieted on falling over easily and feigning daft injuries. A bloody brilliant way to get a draw away, I’d have been proud of that if I were Swindon.

We’ve got 7 points from 3 difficult games over the Christmas period and I’m happy with that, results went our way in general so can’t complain. Still 3rd

I was in the terrace at the side so couldn't get a true picture of how good the Eardley freekick was, so I'm looking forward to seeing the highlights.

Came for a draw? So the 4 shots on target and 6 off target in the first half don’t count?

If we had a decent striker we would have pissed that.

Incredibly important win for us today, Port Vale match is going to be a big one, sounds like a lot of the team are walking wounded.

I am now, 6 points off play offs and after Frealafs stat how could anybody say it isn’t?

To be fair after 10 games we were 11 points of play offs, 15 games later with promotion form and we have made up 5 points on them. 6 points is still a long way.

Weird for us not to have a match thread. Thought we were comfortably the better team against Bury and deserved to win, but had one of those days in front of goal. Definitely a bit of light at the end of the tunnel - no surprise that our defence looked so much better with Brisley and Duffy reunited, and young Pierce Bird was also good.

Haha no I think this is the most excited we’ve been allowed to get in years.

January movement is vital for us, we need more players and we need to keep Embleton. I think we can officially say we are in with a shout of the play offs with a shrewd January and a bit of luck. Can all collapse quickly though.

Duffy back??? Wow ! If those two can play like they did last season (they won’t) it would help hugely. Still can’t work out why they have gone to shit this season, nobody can surely?

We’ve made up a large chunk of those points in December alone though, in fact probably all of them.

Still a long way to go but nice to be looking up and not over our shoulders.

They’ve barely played together, to be honest.

IF you had a decent forward, which you evidently didn’t. Like what you mention, if we played someone decent we could possibly have lost that.

We had quite an off day and never really got going, 2 0-0s between Mansfield and Swindon this season, excitement central.

Good following mind, decent set in the railway again too
