Happy with those results, Crewe, Cheltenham and Morecambe stay close, Notts get pegged back and Macclesfield lose last minute along with defeat for Yeovil. Decent from a Vale perspective. Quite enjoy Saturdays when we don’t play!

At half time, I'd have said it would have been terrible had the Alex not won. But at full time, I'm grateful to even have a point. First point salvaged from a losing position, might be the boost the team needs to pick things up in the final 9 games. Not convinced, given we've got to go to some places we don't like travelling to usually.

But overall, the 2nd half performance sounds very concerning and they are fortunate as a better team would have probably killed things off after going 2-1 up. Best pray the home form keeps going strong, because I'm not seeing many wins from those last few away games.

Trevor Kettle played a blinder. When he did crack and have to put his oar in, we (especially Deegan) managed him beautifully. Then we put away two first half chances!!!!!! Then we got a clean sheet!!

Lambe was supposed to start ahead of Brown (who played a blinder). O'Neil broke down in the warm up and Lewis got the deserved start and did the business.

We'd done our bit then 90 + 2 goal against Macc and 90 + 4 goal against Morecambe. Yeovil keep going the Darren Way....

Roll on next Saturday. Looks like CC has not been impressed with our recruitment team's "suggestions." May be a couple of loan signings but Calderwood has indicated that he likes what he sees in the dressing room, just not on the pitch away from home - no more than 3 signings? If so, make 2 of them strikers and one proper defender.

Big big win for us today, especially given the other teams’ scores around us and the game next Saturday. Stevenage are awful and we played well, dominated the game and fully deserved it.

There looks to be some fight there, felt that against Lincoln too (though I did question it v MK). We’ve got a long way to go but I feel a hell of a lot happier than I did at 3pm.
