Just checked back through and we’ve played 249 minutes this season plus however much injury time in each one with only 10 men and conceded just the 2 goals.
We might not be the best team around but we sure are one of the hardest working, another great effort today. :)

I apologise. I have no inkling we could get an away result. That is Cioffe's first ever away win!

Morris saving a penalty in the 89th minute will get the beer flowing.:db:

Today's game was a disaster, and the effects of it will be lasting for weeks. Tough run of games now, could end up being only 2-4 points from the next 6 with the injuries and suspension taken into account.

Cant believe what I'm seeing at Crewe at the minute. Certainly didn't see this run coming, and more so the way were doing it, coming from behind, scoring late winners, winning away from home. Really starting to believe we can make a late run for the play offs now. It almost feels like were unbeatable at home, we just seem to find a way. Big and tough game next week at home to in form Carlisle.

He seems to have gotten into a bad habit of constantly starting post match interviews with either "we were the better side by miles". It's not good. It either smacks of poor sportsmanship if we've won or a bit ridiculous if we've not.

As Timey says, when you are rivalling Steve Evans in the manager yellow card stakes, it's embarrassing.

But criticising him for wearing glasses, which he clearly needs to, you know.....see, and for dressing smart is ridiculous.

He coaches a L2 side so his clothes he got from Matalan just look out of place in these tinpot stadiums. A tracksuit will do.

It's performances like today that you can put next to another to compare and it's plain as day where the difference is. Our first run of good form came when we finally binned off JJ Hooper and we've managed to end another losing streak today after binning off Mitch Rose. I don't think it's a coincidence. It's becoming clearer what players we still need to replace to improve our squad. Woolford did decent job in the middle and while I think Cook is replaceable, he did a better job than Cardwell for the way we play. We need a few more forwards in and get Cardwell out on loan to hopefully get him some confidence for next season. I'm confident we could have a really good squad after the next couple of windows.

We played very well against Tranmere today and got the goals. Grant seems to have a lot of class.

Tranmere had McNulty and another guy at RB who appeared to be quite overweight. If today wasn't a blip for them I wonder if Tranmere might be going further down the league because they didn't seem to offer much.

We'll never go back up with McGreal in charge, he's too negative, too cautious, too defensive and isn't proactive enough in influencing a game. So predictable it's boring.

Great results for Crewe and Grimsby - the latter in particular after being down to 10 with what seems to have been a harsh red.

Wins for Mansfield Carlisle and FG though, there’s a danger of a mini league at the top appearing.

Don't think we will have an easier game all season other than Notts County. Don't know what's happened to Dons but they have gone from challenging the title with Lincoln to struggling to make the play offs. They were poor today, think they only had one shot on target all game.

It's still a red for me, he's turned his man and got the chance of a free shot from the edge of the centre of the box, if that's not a clear goalscoring opportunity I don't know what is. It was a silly tackle, but Alan Buckley agrees with me so don't care what you lot say.

5 red cards in 7 games and very few complaints on many of them, we really need to look at our discipline.

I think if we had played like we still had 11 in the second half instead of letting Dons come at us it would have been an easy afternoon, but then that is probably easier said than done so it made it more attack v defence and uncomfortable to watch despite how bad they were.

Didn't think that win was going to come after hitting the bar twice, the second time as a penalty. We've played better and lost and we are in need of a striker as Forte isn't cutting it.
Still, MK next week will be er interesting

Always had that feeling even at 2-0 down that we could get something today. Gifted them both their goals but I've never seen a more one sided final 70 minutes after that, although Macc should've equalised late on from another absolute gift. Really important win!

Bad result for MK though, they really should be beating the likes of Grimsby......

Not with their form. Good to see you came in useful though, give yourself a pat on the back

In what game? I don’t think you ever got into our box.
When your centre back threw Norwood to the ground.

Grant got about 10 free kicks for less.

Not taking away from the fact you were decent and we were shite. We have to bin off this 3-5-2. 2pts per game with 4-4-2, 1 point per game with 3-5-2. I’m sure it got Mellon in a mess at Shrewsbury too.

An admirable performance by Grimsby today. A really enjoyable match. I would have easily taken a point after the sending off but credit to the lads for holding out for the win. Ohman is such a decent signing for us. What a bargain he will prove to be if he keeps us his performances like he played today.

Weren't you sat like 100m away when this happened? I'm not saying it didn't happen but you were pretty far away.

Your tactics in the first half baffled us, you’re clearly an alright side that seemed to set up wrong and was needlessly aggressive, you basically beat yourself.

We’ve gone overly defensive because of the horror shows at Crewe and Grimsby.

Attacking wise we are one of the better sides in this division but we aren’t playing to those strengths because we are too worried about McNulty getting exposed.

All about not sliding down the table and rebuilding for a top 3 challenge next season for us now I fear.

The injury to Smith depending on its severity is probably worse news than the result itself. Without that physical presence up front we are going to really struggle for goals. At least Cameron will only get a 1 game ban and will be back after Mansfield.

But with a difficult run of games coming up and with 11 players missing off the top of my head, it could take another month or so before we even get to 30 points, by which point we would be playing catch up again with not much time left to claw it back.

I don't want to sound too negative but our survival chances have taken a massive hit today in very unfortunate circumstances.

We've surely got to appeal Cameron's red card. How many times do defenders put their hands up to keep a forward at bay, that's all he's done.

Need to see Cameron incident again, not even sure whether it was for violent conduct or DoGSO. Next Saturday is a write off anyway so if it was 1 match suspension i wouldn't bother appealing whatever.

I fear that today might be the game we look back on at the end of the season and go "that's what screwed us".

What a mental first half today.

I tweeted at half-time that it was weird, we had an absolute homer of a ref yet we were contriving to be two goals down. 4 substitutions, three of which were for injuries. The Macc red is an interesting one. If it's against a taller player then his arm goes into his chest. I was at the complete other end of the pitch - but I said to a friend that if that's a red at our end we'd be going mad. Maddox was never in control of the ball so I'm not convinced it can be classed as a goalscoring opportunity.

I can see why the ref sent him off, but if I was a Macc fan I'd be pissed off.

After the red we dominated and it really was a matter of time before we scored. Thought the Macc keeper was fantastic and his save just before we made it 3-2 was out of this World.

Seems somewhat ironic that I was singing Flinders' praises yesterday only for him to give a stonewall pen away and then for him to literally pass the ball to the Macc striker for the second.

What a day.

The type of day that decides survival or not. The type of day we had more of last season when successful. The type of day that gives you a very sinking feeling afterwards.
