Going well so far, surprisingly enough. I expect Colchester will up their game in the second half but at least we have a lead to protect.

All to play for still. Yeovil getting closer towards the break. But other than that they have looked off the pace.

Often a game of two halves, but I'd be surprised to loose this now!!

There was an earlier kick off in front of 12,660 at the San Sirrel. Game ended 1-0 to the bottom of league side in a surprisingly dominate performance. Impressive run of form, against the leagues elite in the last 3 games.

Rakesh Bingham has been subbed off by Cheltenham. Think we can relax a bit more now that the danger man has left the field :animatedf:

Since the turn of the year we are turning in to massive bottle jobs. Some how still top.

1/1 versus Port Vale conceded last minute equaliser
12/1 versus Swindon conceded in 88th minute equaliser (admittedly we had 9 men)
26/1 versus Bury conceded in 86th minute to draw
2/2 versus County miss penalty in 89th minute and draw
16/2 conceded in 87th and 94th minute to draw.

Infuriating. We simply cannot defend a lead currently. Sit back far too deep invite pressure on but we're not defensively good enough to deal with it (though as individuals you would expect we should).

Almost the perfect set of results for Notts today after the early kick off victory. Macc failing to win at home albeit against a good side. Morecambe’s victory drags Vale properly into it. Yeovil smashed again and no wins for Cheltenham or Cambridge just above.

Please don’t bottle it now I’ve got money at generous odds on you lot to take the title from the start of the season

Win our game in hand and we’re 3 points off.

Where’s that Devon Lad nobhead!
Exeter are guaranteed to win the league. They're a massive club. With their 3 half built stands and having once or twice in their history played at the third tier. Definitely far bigger than Oldham, Swindon who have played top flight and Tranmere, Grimsby who spent years in division 1.

Not thinking about the playoffs just yet but one thing is certain; any team in this league would fucking love Jake Hessenthaler in their side. We wouldn't be anywhere near the top half if we didn't have him. Easily Jolley's best signing so far although Ohman could soon change that.

What would be really funny is it we both manage to overtake them. :bg:
You owe us for the farcical pen decision last season!

I am glad to see those more ‘traditional’ clubs seemingly pulling themselves away from the abyss. Vale need to pull their finger out.

Today summed how we have been playing for a long while IMO, lacking in ideas offensively and sitting back on the lead when we finally got two ahead. Fair play to the Stevenage number 12 as he tore our defence a new one all game.

Very disappointing to be two up with four minutes to go and still not win the game. These draws may well be costly come the end of the season, it's not a great time to be stuttering.

To be fair to the ref from last season it was a tough call to make, I mean apart from it being a yard outside the box and there being no contact whatsoever it was a blatant pen. :bg:

Would've taken a draw at start of play, incredibly annoying that it was a stupid penalty that cost us the win. Colchester never really got going the game (lack of Harry "always amazing against us" Pell helped, but combination of them changing their system to stop us getting in behind, and us gifting them the equaliser right after HT resulted in us struggling to do much second half.

Ntambwe may never been seen again and can join the list of mysterious signings who may or may be at the club. To have a game where you struggle; concede a game-defining penalty stupidly; be berrated by team mates and fans throughout (this may not be helpful); and then, the ultimate insult, be replaced after 60 mins by Callum Maycock and people be happy, must be so morale destroying that he possibly may retire from football.

County and Morecambe wins mean an overall bad day for us.

So how many of you fishy fuckers are coming next week? Will we need to stock up on various flat fishes?

500 - 600 I’d guess although with the current good mood around the place we’ll maybe squeeze a few more.

Last time we got to six points of the play offs after winning 4 in a row, we lost 4 in a row!

Not the most impressive performance from us but it did the job. Ohman was a beast at the back. Any Grimsby fans (or Cheltenham for that matter) see the apparent stamp on one of our players that their number 24 got booked for?

Quite happy with the point today given it sounded like we were poor, particularly in the first half. Other results were ok really, still the five behind third but a point further ahead of eighth with a big game now at home to Carlisle next week. I'd fancy us to beat anyone at home generally speaking, so as long as we can keep doing that then we'll be there or thereabouts.
