............................

Anything other than a win here though and we can finally put a fork in all this playoff nonsense.

A lot of matches between the promotion/playoff hopefuls this weekend.
I'd love to put you out of your misery tomorrow but have nothing more than blind hope to suggest we'll get anything out of the game.

I'm guessing we'll give it some kind of a go, hoping that Amoo might connect with Jabo and/or our new goal machine, Alex Jones might finally find his shooting boots.

3-1 to GY.

Well, Crawley are losing at MK Dons tomorrow.

We tend to do better against the better sides but let's be honest. If we keep it to two clear goals I'll be happy.

Tricky home game against Northampton. Think some of the confidence has been shaken and they are not bad on the road, it's just at home where they can't win for toffee.

With Tranmere, Cambridge and Mansfield on the road in March, we'll need to once again lean on the home form, so hoping for a win in this one, but would also take a point given Crawley and Cheltenham are next up at home and I'd fancy us to beat both.

Cheltenham at home, one of those where you got to be looking at a win but it's not going to be easy.

Please leave Ajose alone, he is literally our only striker for this game.

They were a bloody difficult side to play at whaddon road (or whatever daft name they now give it) long ball and physical. It’ll be a challenging game.

A 1-0 win now will would snatch your hand off - but you’re right - you’d be hoping for the 3 points, especially with MK and bury with absolute home bankers today

GTFC XI: McKeown, Hall-Johnson, Davis, Collins (c), Hendrie, Hessenthaler, Embleton, Clifton, Ring, Dennis, Thomas.

Subs: Russell, Whitmore, Grayson, Rose, Cardwell, Cook, Vernam. #GTFC

That's a bloody good team if I dare say. Swap Collins for Ohman as a mainstay and if we can somehow keep Dennis and Thomas, I'll be happy going into next season. I think our biggest challenge in the next window will be keeping or replacing those two strikers. Do that and I'll be confident of a promotion push.

As for today, we just need to keep winning to stay in the playoff race and Cambridge is a team we should be seeing off no problem if we have any aspirations at all. While there are plenty of teams ahead of and around us, we all have plenty of games against each other so there's plenty of chances to make up ground.

I wish we could lose commentary, our "substitute" commentator is absolutely horrific, if I wasn't watching I'd struggle to know we'd scored.

All Town commentary down it seems, having to endure Scunthorpe..

Sounds an absolute drab game with Cambridge edging it with the goal.

Saw and had a chat with Jonno at a funeral on Thursday - looking well, so I hope it wasn't the buffet (that I skipped) that's laid him low.

Our egg chasing sub commentator has taken the edge of that enjoyable first half.

Enjoyable? Bloody hell it sounded absolute garbage from both sides. We can't seem to put in decent performances against you lot recently for some reason.

Cambridge 2 and our season effectively over. A lack of depth in our squad ironically after what I was just saying about how good our team looks. We're missing a quality central midfielder or two. Also think we should change our system up now and then, don't think Jolley is stubborn to it and I get 352 is a strange system to mix up during the game but when it's not working, it needs a tweak. Would've liked to see us try 433 some more.

Annoying. This is bound to happen with a young squad but it's frustrating. Was hoping to go to Crawley next week off the back of 16 points out of 18, but it's gonna be a bit of a dud now.

Yeah, enjoyable coz the posse had better things to do in their lives so I've been sat at home listening to a clueless commentator with only the score and alcohol to provide the warm glow. I enjoy Cleethorpes but not the drive, so a best of (away games) season second half put the cherry on the cake.

That performance and the 3 points delivers a stress free wind down, with a half decent manager in post, for both of us.

Get in, 3-2 win. It was amazing how arrogant the Morecambe fans were before the game all assuming they'd win. Ha!

Well, good response to the drab performance against Exeter by following it up with another pish display and defeat to Northampton. Shades of 2012, looking invincible at home eh? Always the same, have a good run with a particular system and selection before it inevitably gets sussed and then it's back to the drawing board.

Tranmere and Cambridge next up away from home, essh.

A big test coming up for us to ensure this isn't the start of yet another losing streak. If we can break that habit and cut it down to one or two losses between winning streaks, we can still look for a top half or even top ten finish, which would be a brilliant finish for us. Let's not forget how far we've come from last season. This season is still on course to be a relative success for us.

Despite the best efforts of the referee we came out victorious today, played average at best but that's all was needed against a poor Cheltenham side.

Kept it to a one goal defeat at MK Dons today. Not too shabby seeing how poor we are.

Bit of a roller coaster against Morecambe today, we were absolutely shocking first half and deserved to be behind at half time. But fair play to Way his substitutions made a big difference, Pattison and Zoko shifted the game in our favour and we were on top from then on. When Morecambe got the equaliser I was waiting for the inevitable Ellison 90th minute winner, but a stunner from Seager makes in two massive wins in a row, with Vale and Macc to come.

The foul given for their free kick which led for their first goal was one of the most hilerulusly ridiculous decisions I’ve seen, whatever was he thinking.

Then in the first half when the assistant thought the ball had gone for a throw in when it was about a metre inside, so they kinda made up a free kick lol
