Sort of proved my point there Dave. Taking an Artell quote out of context once again, and even so what’s wrong with saying that and believing in your players? Maybe Northampton Town are a bit special this season.

Don’t know why your getting so funny about the Vale to be honest, who wouldn’t want a Vale - Crewe play off.

You’ve got to bear in mind he was the scapegoat, or one of many, for Bradford’s relegation. Little return on a big fee plus salary, perceived little effort and the majority of fans wanted him gone. I presume no other club higher up the food chain wanted him so they had little choice but to loan him to whoever was willing to take him.

If he does return, so be it - we’ve got the league’s 2nd highest scorer as well! Tbh, I’d be spitting feathers if I were a Bantam - but that’s with hindsight.

Can we have our ball back, please?
1. No one scapegoated him (if anything he spent too much time ball chasing away from goal).
2. We were relegated following horrendous failings from the then chairman.
3. We got rid because his wages freed up funds for about three players in areas we were desperate to fill.

Bloody hell! I’ve looked in on your forum and the amount of shit flying in his direction desperate to get him out.

Got to be honest, at the time it was rumoured we were after either Doyle or Danny Hylton and most of us wanted Hylton.

What do us fans know, eh!

Looking forward to the game against Bradford on Sat. We’ve lost 1 game in 2 months, (forgetting about EFL Trophy) since losing 2-0 at home to Cheltenham on 21/09. Of course it was a 4-0 defeat away at Exeter!

Wingbacks Joe Riley and Callum McFadzean both went off injured on Saturday, hopefully Mcfadzean is okay as he’s been decent so far. Dom Telford is back also, we look so much better up front when he plays.

I’ll go 2-1, with a crowd of just over 10k. Should be a good game.

We’ve got the FA cup reply tonight vs Shrewsbury and I’m more expectant to win that then going down to you guys on Saturday. I can’t think of many if any recent wins at Plymouth and there’s no escaping the fact they’re a really good side for this league, 2-0 home win.

Me looking forward to it a lot too. Completely agree with what you say, especially about Telford. I am not sure about 10k, hope I am wrong, but often these numbers are down to how many the oppo bring.

Any idea how many will be coming down?

We’ve signed Donohue on a perm. Must be sure he won’t be going to pokey.

Just in time to face Mansfield this Saturday.

I reckon we must have pinched the Tories magic money tree with signing him and Caddis in the last week.

Morecambe at home for the Alex tomorrow. Badly need a win to get back on track, get the confidence back up with FGR on Tuesday and a tricky game against next weekend in the cup.

Not bothered about the performance, just want the win. The first goal might be nice.

Will probably be a very tough game for you lot. Derek Adams will make Morecambe very hard to beat.

Not looking forward to this game Vs Morecambe at all. Were expected to win, but more than that we really need it after two defeats and a draw in our last 3 games. I'm sure Morecambe will be very organised and hard to break down, and will try to hit us on the break or take advantage of any mistakes or set pieces.

We play Port Vale at home. We've been on good home form lately but they've only lost 1 in 12. Will be a very tough game and a good benchmark to see where we are at the moment.

We're in great form like you say but Scunthorpe is always a tough place to go. Would be delighted with a point but not too downhearted if we get beat. Scunthorpe are in a false position in my opinion after a poor start. They'll be in the mix come the end of the season.

6 wins in 7, 4 away wins on the trot sounds too good to be true... so will probably drop points here but maybe i am just being negative.

Tough game, awful record against them, think our win in the relegation season was the first in donkeys!

Should be a dull game, they are doing well defensively and think we have only conceded 2 goals from open play in 7 or 8 games now so probably a 0-0 or 1-0 either way.

Interesting that for the first time probably since 2003/04 in League One we have a striker conundrum (McPhee, Paynter, Littlejohn, Brooker)..

Do we go with Bennett the incumbent, do we bring in Pope for his hold up play... or the lethal Mark Cullen who's scored 5 in 5 starts this season and 3 in the past two games despite only a late cameo last week?!

Main worry for tomorrow for us is Worrall, limping off last week but has been training i think, he is key to the high press we play and without him it would be a huge blow... fancy we will try and get him through it and give him next weekend off maybe?

Would happily take a point but a win here and I will really start to believe we might achieve something as we never win at Scunthorpe!

No idea how we will fare at Crawley tomorrow. The goals aren't flowing at the moment but our defence is holding up. So probably a 4-4 draw

No Pope tomorrow as he has been banned for 1 match for breaching Rule E3 whatever that is!

Mark Sampson is alleged to have broken the same rule, must be something to do with a racial comment then?

Its social media rather than racial comments... Pope gets into loads of banter with opposing fans and had come off it for a while as he had been warned by the EFL. Ban isn't too big an issue as he isn't currently starting and Cullen is on form but £2600 fine will hurt at this level!

We havent won at scunthorpe since 1973 so I'd take a draw now. We only have 2 of our 4 strikers available to select now with Pope banned and archer injured but it's not a massive problem as we only really play 1 striker at a time unless we are chasing the game.
