Has the League AGM been held yet? I'm assuming there will be decisions around squad sizes and iFollow which will affect playing budgets.

The 3pm blackout rule will be reapplied so iFollow will go back to how it worked before.

Only if we have full crowds back in. If there are crowd restrictions then I suspect some arrangements will be found so iFollow can be accommodated.

Even if it’s 50% crowds that’d be enough for most teams in this league.

At the start of last season they said iFollow would be available until grounds were back to 50% capacity, not full.

After watching the france portugal game last night i now believe more than ever that VAR should be used in the play off finals, lloris smacks danilo in the head VAR say's penalty the morcambe keeper smacks scott bennett in the head the ref say's legal, the only difference i could see was lloris actually went for the ball.

Lloris should have got a red card for the forearm to the guys head though.... The penalty France got was an absolute joke - and VAR didn't over rule it either... VAR is rubbish.

It's not var that's rubbish. It's the way it's used.

The Mbappe penalty was ludicrous. We could all see that from the replays. It should have been reversed. No idea why it wasn't but I can't see that ref team getting the final.
The Fernando's foul on Coman near the end should of, at least, been a free kick (didn't get an angle to be sure if it was in the box).
Lloris' assault on Danillo was, in my opinion, dealt with correctly. The Morecombe keepers wasn't.

The offside is the one most of the summarises get their knickers in a twist about but it is simple. If part of your body is ahead of the second to last opposition player, in their half when the ball is played forwards, you are offside. That law has not changed.

Talking of offsides. I saw a player flagged for being off the pitch when a short corner was played to him. Not sure if that was offside or some other rule that was broken.

any player who leaves the pitch without permission* over the goal line is deemed to be on the goal line for the purposes of offside - that's been the case forever and a day....

*steps off the pitch - not in a footballing incident (tackle etc) way

Mike Dean gives referees a hard time when he goes to Tranmere games. If anybody knows what a crap attention seeking referee looks like its him.

It’s definitely generally been used better in this tournament but still some “errors” being made but guess that is human nature .

Least the VAR seems to be used quickly and doesn’t take ages to make a decision.

Chipmunk, so the player wasn't offside then as the corner kick is officially taken from the goal line?

Must be some other rule he was flagged for.

I do recall that it was a yellow card offence for being offside if standing in the goal and putting the keeper off and therefore it was technically possible to be sent off for being offside twice !

Just been announced both the manager and assistant manager at Swindon Town have left the club this morning. Also at least one board member. What is going on ? I'm no fan of Swindon but even I feel sorry for their supporters.

Don’t feel sorry for us, it’s what we’ve been waiting for.

I feel sorry for McGreal, though, as I thought he’d be a real good fit.

The new owner has had his own men in place for some time just waiting for the change in ownership.

It's a shame for McGreal as I'd think the second job for a lower league manager is always the hardest one to get and he'd waited patiently for a year. I think he'd have done a good job so hopefully he can find something else before too long so he's not forgotten about completely.

At least he can boast an unbeaten record!

Paul Jewell now gone, too. Hip hoorah!

Power will be out next week when the takeover has been ratified. New manager in, in time for the return of the players.

Breath in and relax as HMS Piss the League tentatively leaves dry dock after being nigh on scuppered!

Mid table here we come!

In cunty ownership news Lee Power hasn't paid staff their June wages. Our takeover is continuing and expected to happen but Power using the opportunity the screw over the club he once stated he loved. What a horrible man.

Seems we might be in a bit more shit than we first thought. Swindon Borough Council have today come out and claimed we haven't paid them any rent for the County Ground since 2020 and are ready to take the club to court.

Hms rocky times is ready to set sail.
