Aye. I don’t doubt it. It’ll be shenanigans on Saturday with us and we’re tinpot. Best of luck to their stewards .
Do some of your lads still do the gin trail? Our local hostelry always looked forward to the Dale home fixture.

I believe so. I love Bradford away. There are some cracking boozers up North Parade. A real shame I’ll miss it this season. My mate has selfishly booked his stag do that weekend so there’s about 10 of us missing it this time.

Shame, I always go to the Record bar before the game. We''ll both have to get promotion this season so I can buy you a pint next.

Tell him to have his stag do on North Parade mate!. Sandwich it between the match, a good curry and a job lot of those nice ladies that hang around Thornton Road area to end the night

At least we’ve given Salford and Hartlepool a little bit of notice.

Our pitch won’t be ready in time for our home games against Salford on the 14th and Hartlepool on the 18th have been moved. We’ll be away at Salford on the 14th and the Hartlepool home game is moved to September 14th

I’d doesn’t matter about giving Salford any notice as they won’t have any away fans there anyway.

Don’t know what our initial allocation was from Scunny but we’ve got a second batch. Be 1000+

it can’t be much more than 1250, their ground is wank
Think it’s usually been around 2k when we’ve been there as they give you some of the side if you sell out behind the goal.

Aye. They’ve been circling for a few months now. We were on the verge of issuing a few hundred thousand shares for sale to fans. Basically becoming majority fan/ supporters trust owned. But that’s on the back burner whilst this mess sorts itself out. It’s getting some attention in national press and the EFL now so hopefully even more scrutiny applied.

I fail to see how anyone involved in this take over attempt could be deemed fit and proper. There’s no obvious source of funds, there’s no obvious business plan. It looks and stinks like a money laundering exercise by some plastic gangsters. Having seen what happened down the road at Bury our fan base has been all over this. Some interesting stuff on the Dale forum which as a Swindon fan you may or may not already have known about Curran/Jarvis/Power et al. There are seemingly links to some very dodgy people and activities…

Dodgy is an understatement, keep these people well away. I expect Mr Power has left some nasty surprises for us which may come out in a court case I'm September.

I wish Rochdale all the best in keeping this clown show of destruction well away.

Our scumbag ex CEO David Bottomley had tried to sell the club to other investors (Halsall from Bolton I think) and tried to do the share issue so that Halsall & co could gain control.

A group of our fans, together with the Trust, turned this on its head as they didn't think it was a good deal for the club, and would have led to the ground being mortgaged and us being in serious debt, whilst the previous Directors all got paid out for their shares, and all the fan owned shares suddenly became worthless.

At the AGM, the fans rallied and voted Bottomley plus another Director off the Board. A huge effort to mobilise the shareholders against them. However, it appears that whilst Bottomley was still CEO, someone (no prizes for guessing who) leaked confidential shareholder contact information to Rose and Curran, who had also shown an interest, but were not the preferred bidders.

They have been busy, presumably with inside help, trying to buy up shares in order to effect a hostile takeover. It appears that they have bought the old board's shares (at a premium) together with a couple of other investors, but are stuck well short of 50% of shares.

Meanwhile; Bottomley's wrongdoings are escalating and the whole thing is a mess of his own makings.

The EFL haven't approved Curran and Rose as fit and proper people yet, and have been asking difficult questions of them like where's the money come from, and why on earth pick a team 200 miles from where you live.

Many people are saying that all this stinks of money laundering on a large scale.

It now appears that Curran may have said some homophobic stuff aimed at Dale fans during a zoom call to the EFL, and even may have suggested that he would fight anyone who disagreed with him. This has now got to the press, with the Telegraph publishing it and loads of twitter stuff going around. Surely this will get them knocked back by the EFL?

Every single member of the football family needs to be warned of these people, and not let them anywhere near their clubs, as it very much looks like they are wrong 'uns and up to no good whatsoever.

Ffs Pitman, Hanlan & Collins all out for tomorrow’s game - all strikers, meaning we’re playing up front with a youngster.

Would be over the moon with a 0-0 now

Long term blessing in disguise? I’m always up for more strikers tbh.

I saw Pitman is out for 2 weeks, any idea on the other 2?

We’ve announced that our players have decided not to take the knee this season, and will instead invite opponents to stand together against discrimination.

Right call imo, it’s lost a lot of it’s impact and doing something different that can’t be confused with BLM politics takes away any chance of people misunderstanding the gesture and booing.

How has Pitman got injured? Has his gut dropped onto his toe? Sorry, just couldn't resist it. When fit, he will score goals.

Generally don't like stadium naming rights being sold, but at least these are better then innocent.

Fully Charged was set up by Robert Llewellyn btw, aka Kryten in Red Dwarf.
I remember he drove an electric car in his carpool series where he interviewed comedians while giving them lifts around Edinburgh (not sure how that didn't fall foul of the highway code, you can't use your phone, operate a satnav or eat or drink while driving but apparently you can interview someone)

Be kind, some of them have only be doing football for a couple of years

Even a self titled, published 'super fan' has single digit years watching Town

A tinpot club with some laughable, new fans....

I remember seeing an article written by Salford's biggest fan, who openly admitted that just three or four years ago he'd been supporting Oldham.

See Newport aren't able to play home games till September. Pretty standard stuff I guess and I thought I'd heard about them switched matches already in the build up to the season, but now it's confirmed. When was the last time they didn't need an extra month to fix their pitch? Good job they aren't due to play Sutton in that period.

Has never happened. We were one round late starting our home programme four years ago. How long was Carlisle's pitch out of use when you had that flood?

Any clubs out there looking for a 1st class manager.

Seems our Chairman/Owner is trying to piss take with DC.

Something he will surely regret, Supporters won't put up with DC
being walked over.

Over to you mister chairman, And give your head a shake.

Expand for us.

Basically Raj wrote in the programme that they'd made a contract offer to Challinor 2 weeks ago that Raj says was a fair deal.

After the game on Radio Tees, DC said what is fair to him is "derisory" to him. Challinor then went on saying that the average league 2 boss is on 49k p.a and we've offered him well under that (apparently 39k)

Now we've got an open BEEF that is making no one look good at all. It's a no Brainer to pay Challinor what he wants.

It’s all a bit silly and shouldn’t be out in the open, sort this shit out behind closed doors, if Raj doesn’t give DC what he wants after he delivered promotion and we lose him he’ll be chased out of town.
