Think that's pretty reasonable to be honest even for someone like myself who can't get to every home game I think it's probably right to go back to the no streaming Saturday matches being as there's no restrictions on that now. I wonder though for example when we have Stevenage in February it might be even worth switching it to a Friday night as they won't bring more than 100 regardless and maybe a few more of their fans will tune in from home.

To be fair to ifollow it served a purpose last season and was pretty good after a few issues early on but there's no substitute for actually being there.

Happy that Pools have just said they'll be on ifollow this year. As I'm in the middle east I should be able to watch all the games including Saturdays (I think).

It's a crying shame that Harrogate haven't managed to get the necessary safety certificates for our game there on Saturday....but absolutely tin pot that they haven't bothered to communicate properly.

We'd booked Train Tickets for the day...ok it's only £20 each, but we were looking forward to visiting a new ground, supposedly lovely town, and generally having a good day out. We would have probably taken as many fans as tickets made available (without going all Firthy about it) because of the novelty and time of year.

It sounds like the safety certificate has been removed for away supporters because of inadequate stewarding provisions and poor internal CCTV (both of which could and should have been addressed months ago.)

I'd think the only fair thing to do (it's too late to switch the fixtures) would be to have a completely empty stadium, and impose a fine on them for cluelessness in general.

As far as re-arranging goes, there is no clash with Hornets, however I think things like sponsorships etc. would be more difficult to arrange at such short notice. I would love for it to be re-arranged for Spotland, that decision needs to be made today though if it's to happen I would say.

Simply appalling, looks like it will be home fans only, which actually breaches EFL regulations (COVID aside). The issue is down to the safety of the stadium. So it should be postponed until their ground is up to scratch. Oh and guess who we have next Tuesday in the league cup... Harrogate away .

The frustrating thing for some will be the money spent in anticipation of the match on travel/hotels. Nobody has seen a live league game since last March. I for one was really looking forward to this one. As you have said, there really is no excuse for this work to have not already taken place to ensure the ground is ready and safe for fans. Harrogate should be punished for this. The lack of communication surrounding it all has been ridiculous as well.

Our pitch won’t be ready in time for our home games against Salford on the 14th and Hartlepool on the 18th have been moved. We’ll be away at Salford on the 14th and the Hartlepool home game is moved to September 14th

Harrogate though surely should have sorted themselves now. They should at least compensate any Dale fans out of pocket. Surely just switch the fixtures like Sutton have.

If you’ve booked travel and still fancy a game (assuming the likelihood is we ain’t being allowed into Harrogate) then Knaresborough are are home in the FA Cup extra preliminary round. I think me and a few of the people I would’ve gone to Harrogate with will just go there for the afternoon.

Why would anyone be out of pocket? If you're booking travel and accommodation without a ticket to the game then that's on you. Tickets look like they're also not on sale to the home fans so not sure why people are suggesting Rochdale fans should be given a home section. It's a shambles, but not nearly as bad as some of the posts on here.

Thanks for the offer, however the NWCL D1 (North) 2nd v 3rd clash at Radcliffe (Bury AFC v Bacup) looks tasty. Plus I've never supported the home team at a sporting fixture in Oldham (worryingly, even found myself cheering on Sheff Wednesday once when I went to Boundary Park as a neutral) and don't particularly want to end up supporting Newport for the day.

Supported Sheff Weds eh, was that in the 1980 riot or the 1991 game when we won the title and a spot in the top flight
