Believe we can have up to 1300 as you can get a couple of blocks in the new stand down the side if required. As a non-ST holder am not even going to bother trying as they’ll be gone by the middle of the week at the latest. Live near Northampton so easy enough for me to just go and get a ticket in the home end and keep my mouth shut.

I think you will be fine to get a ticket in the away end. I'm expecting around 800 to be sold in a mad rush these first 2 days to season ticket holders then sales will dry up till next week when there on sale to non season ticket holders. Im not sure we will sell 1300 tickets anyway. It depends what people are thinking as if you don't go Northampton then the next 2 away games after that arnt very appealing to our supporters at stevenage and forest Green where I'd guess only 250 would go them games.

With 2 weeks to go to the big ko it would be nice to know if oldham are allowing away fans!

Although from what i have heard oldhams fans are boycotting home games so we should be welcomed with open arms.

Exeter away tickets going on sale in the coming days although its apparently a reduced allocation because they're not operating at 100% capacity. Any reason why?

Social distancing in the terracing. It's the same in the home end.

From our website:

Capacities will be reduced in standing terraces and indoor bars, whilst also providing some areas where spectators can socially distance should they wish to.

Are there any Harrogate fans on here? Seems strange that tickets for the opening day aren’t on sale yet with just over a week to go. I see a pre season v Sunderland was BCD due to some health and safety breach so wonder if Dale fans will be able to attend our first two games in league and cup. I hope so as plenty of people were planning a long weekend up in Harrogate!

Harrogate does have a bit of a reputation...which may sound a bit rich from someone who supports a club in the Cotswolds...maybe their fans consider the internet to be a bit newfangled or a footy forum a bit below them?

I hope they do let away fans go. I was looking forward to seeing some of our stone island clad yoof have a tear up in Betty’s.
Not looking likely. Next friendly vs Donny no away fans. Last friendly BCD.

Well, Harrogate’s friendly tomorrow is home fans only. I’ve heard from someone at Dale to expect no away fans allowed for our league and cup games. I know from local experience with Rochdale Town/ Castleton St Gabriel’s that health & safety breaches attract sever penalties. And I remember a local example of Macclesfield being denied promotion to the EFL due their ground not being FL “safe”. So…. If Harrogate can’t properly host a game in League 2 what happens to them? I don’t want some draconian punishment and common sense solution is swap the fixtures til they sort their issues out. But this is the EFL. I’ll be watching a non league game next Saturday won’t I?

Bristol rovers been given the 1750 or whatever the away end holds and had shifted 800 or so from STHs, i’d imagine they’d sell them out.

With us having shifted 2,500 STs as well it’ll be nice to be back infront of a crowd again been a long time coming.

I'm a little worried about attendances this season (yes I know we don't get anyone anyway).

There has been a few people saying they will be watching the iFollow service, there's ways around it only being for overseas viewing it seems, and others saying they are not comfortable with being in the ground etc etc.

Without being exact about it I reckon we could be missing 10% of our fans.

There is ....or shall I say....'was' a harrogate fan. The bandwagon jumping plastics currently 'supporting' town are not inclined to muddy themselves with such an antiquated thing as a fans forum.

Yeah sorry to see that at the least Dale fans will be impacted by the sheer tin pottery of the club. One that just posted yet another near million pound annual loss propping up a rich man's son doing football manager.

The club are being very secretive about the latest balls up. "small issues" apparently but when a local journo looked into it....aka called the council this was the rather glaringly obvious issues

Friendly nwith Donny today is no away fans.....at the moment. ..

When not running up huge debts the FC Weaver is then turning fans against each other....in effect cutting out the original fans by doing this and allowing these new, acceptable fans to label those lot drunkards basically.

And whilst not ensuring that the club is fit enough to actually host games, particularly after the home fans were left with no home bar in the ground and the massive safety misses they thought they'd turn fans into a bunch of tell tale stains.....horrible plastic club my old team has become. Don't let anyone think there is anything remarkable happening in harrogate. Nowt but debt under written by a millionaire.

Be kind, some of them have only be doing football for a couple of years

Even a self titled, published 'super fan' has single digit years watching Town

A tinpot club with some laughable, new fans....

Thanks for the reply. Really disheartening to see the “soul” ripped out of another traditional non league club in pursuit of glory. I didn’t realise your original fan base had become disenfranchised but then you’re not as local or a media hyped as Salford.

it’s not looking good for Saturday and Tuesday is it? I’d hope common sense prevails and fixtures swapped. We can play you away in the league next year. League Cup fixtures have moved venues. Our own league cup game v Huddersfield last year was a home draw but we played it away as our pitch wasn’t ready. It can be done.
As with most clubs north of Birmingham in this league we would have sold out the away end, certainly for the Saturday game due to pent up demand and the new ground novelty. So that’s a decent wedge of cash HTFC are losing.
If the game next Saturday is home fans only there’ll be quite a few Dale fans on the piss in Harrogate anyway and likely to just chance the home end. Train tickets and accommodation has been bought by many. Luckily we’re not a MASSIVE hooligan followed club but it’ll still be a H&S issue in itself if that happens, especially if this continues into the season when you play some of the better supported and therefore more likelihood of encountering Green Street cos-players. Reminds me a few years ago we played Blackpool away. They would only give us 999 tickets in advance, which sold out. Cue another few hundred who turned up on the day expecting to take one of the remaining 1500 empty seats in the away end only to be refused and a bit of bother as load’ve pissed up numpties tried to get into the home end.

Don't worry, I'm always kind...I was more concerned that they might be an endangered species, which is always a worry where a club has a relatively small fanbase...we are still in the growth phase having just completed four seasons in the League. As for this forum it is good to have a bit of balance, which you can only really achieve if there are members from every club...I think we are nearly there!

Having read the article linked above, about banning fans from attending the friendly against Sunderland, the infringements mentioned do sound pretty basic...surprised they aren't pre-requisites for entering the Football League. I know that we had to install a control room and undertake a few safety improvements before entering the league.

Our supporters have raised £350k meaning our new proposed fan park will be built. It looks incredible and is hoping to be open October/November time so any of you visiting Prenton Park after that will be in for a treat!

Put this in the ground improvements thread. Doesn't matter where it goes though.

Either place it is an achievement. Thank god we support a club that drives us to drink and understands it.

Naming rights for our ground have been confirmed, it will be called the Fully Charged New Lawn next season, a big improvement on a company that is owned by one of the least ethical organisatons in the World:

Generally don't like stadium naming rights being sold, but at least these are better then innocent.

Fully Charged was set up by Robert Llewellyn btw, aka Kryten in Red Dwarf.

Our chairman said this evening that no Saturday games will be streamed.

Only midweek games, bank holiday games and possibly any games moved to Sundays will be allowed to be streamed to UK residents this season.
