I would anticipate an away sell out.
Many fans saying they will boycott home games and only attend away.
The chance to vent against the owners in a boystrous away atmosphere, localish game and first away game since the lockdowns.
Should be a great atmosphere as always, maybe a little volotile, hopefully the fans dont go too over the top.
Be interesting to see who bring the most to Rochdale next season, Bradford or Oldham. Both due to be Saturday games, but the Bradford one probably. clashes with the fourth round of the FA Cup so might get moved.

Of course if Hartlepool have a stunningly good season, their visit on Easter Monday may be an outside contender (normally bring decent numbers, and we've not played them for a few years).

Don't know where to put this but this seems as good a place as any.

I will be running the L2 prediction league again after a one season break and I'll be posting the opening fixtures on this thread later on today or tomorrow -

Please pay no mind to the '2019/20' bit in the title of the thread. I have tried to change it but I'm seemingly unable to.

Suppose how we start will help away attendances, if we have a good season our away attendances will be up there with the best in the division especislly if away games are being used as a protest against the owners.
As for the rochdale game I would imagine a sell out and possibly more.

didn’t you used to get like 4,000 when you played bury? which i always found slightly odd.

Bradford are quite easily bigger than oldham, surely they’d fill out the away end.

Mansfield have you at your gaff new year’s day which is mightily convenient for me in manchester but less so for everyone else so i wouldn’t expect many from us!

Also on that, be interesting to see who brings the most to mansfield as we don’t really have anyone close to us at all, port vale is technically the closest.

Its a real shame both our games next season are midweek. Would imagine Tranmere will bring the most to us purely as it’ll be their first away day and easy to get to. Would include maybe Walsall but that is midweek also.

For us I think we’ll sell out Northampton, Salford (just for the pissup in Manchester than owt to do with them) and Walsall away just at first glance.

very much so. it’s a pain tbh, bet the police were involved on that one, yet never been any bother, seem to remember us lot joining in when you wanted rid of that smerthwaite.

for us, bristol on the opening game of the season, or bradford may well be the biggest followings

Agreed, Bradford get bigger crowds than Oldham, but they are 30 miles away rather than 5!

Wasn’t sure where to put this, but we’ve finally agreed a sponsorship deal with Morrison’s - the supermarket chain.

Ken Morrison, who opened his first store in Bradford many moons ago, always said he’d never invest in football - which was a crying shame, given what the City has done for him and his family. Fortunately for Bradford City AFC, Ken died in 2017 - and his younger sons/family have taken over with a much more youthful approach to marketing.

2 year deal secured - worth 7-figures. The collaboration will see the launch of the new Morrisons Community champions with the Bradford-based supermarket distributing a total of 5,000 free tickets for each season.

CEO, Ryan Sparks, is already highlighting the first home fixture against Oldham as a possible 20,000+ crowd. Seemingly, some of these free tickets will be utilised for this fixture.

That’s me shopping in Tesco from now on.

Two of our players have tested positive, so we've now cancelled our yearly open day - Sensible for all concerned.

Our game at Maidenhead on Saturday still going ahead it seems though.

No doubt you will still take 6 points off Tranmere Rovers. You normally do.
Is that really true? I remember the last time i saw us play you, you absolutely played us off the park for about 25 minutes going 2-0 up before your midfielder got sent off. We went on to win 3-2. I can remember looking at Manny Monthe thinking 'haha, this fella doesn't look like a footballer' only to be proved wrong as our winger (McGlashan I think) didn't get a kick.

Good Times.

Great news for Swindon just need our owner to sell. Now

Good luck in your battle Attila. If you need any help at all please liaise with our supporters Trust who were instrumental in getting our Takeover done.

Oldham were our opponents in the Premier League also, sad to see them run poorly and the fans seen as nothing more than a commodity.

Congratulations Swindon, glad your on the way to sorting your off field issues out. You can fall in love again with your club when it’s no longer a basket case as we found out!

Ditto Rochdale.
Thanks.

We're hopefully OK at the moment. Curran/Rose stuck at a nominal 40% of shares (which they've apparently not yet paid the former owners for) and faced with the prospect of having to explain the source of their funding to the EFL. A director who was going to sell, but changed his mind, has gone above and beyond by selling instead to the Supporters Trust (who are now the second largest shareholders) and donating most of the proceeds back to the club.

Taylor Curran has signed for Maidstone (NLS). Good luck to him...

That sounds more hopeful. We - the footballing family - can ill afford any more clubs going to the wall due to dodgy ownership.

New owner statement on the website. All sounds positive. Let's see what he can do.
