I see the EFL has said that three League Two clubs have not paid their COVID loans back yet, namely Swindon, Scunthorpe and Oldham.
For those interested, here are the details of this, from the details of December's Covid EFL rescue package:

So as long as you're happy to live inside EFL's restrictions, it's a grant, not a loan.

Robbie Stockdale come from nowhere to 1/10 on for the Dale job. Someone must have put at least a fiver on...

That Curran fella supposedly sniffing around your club may have given up. His son, who we had to play cos daddy was paying Power to play him, has joined Maidstone. Would have thought if Curran senior was going to rock up at your place he’d bring junior with him.

Hope I’m right.

Curran (Senior) has allegedly bought a fair chunk of shares, but not able to get enough for control. Has apparently been in discussions with our board (amicable according to our chairman) over what happens next. Curran (Junior) going to Maidstone may indicate that some sort of face-saving exit strategy has been agreed with his dad???

Think our game v Colchester has been moved to the Friday too. Though with Rovers historically playing on a Friday a nice retro feel about it.

both our September home games have been moved to Friday nights from Saturday at the request of Colchester (who apparently have requested that of a few clubs?) and Newport..... FFS
Very disappointing.

no idea why - although apparently Colchester have made the same request to at least 4 clubs

Can only assume it's to cut down on overnight stays, they'll just travel up Friday morning and come home straight after.

They might be told to wear them, but now "No-one tells ME what to do" has become a national motto I imagine people will take back control of their own faces and decline to.

We'll remain under Welsh government rules, update due tomorrow, Weds.

Leyton Orient have given a life ban to a fan that tweeted racist abuse to England players last night.

I fully applaud them.

Hopefully the FA will also ban them from England games. Don’t want fans like that representing us on the international stage.

I'd personally send them into the bronx or downtown Lagos and superglue a plaque onto his hand saying 'I hate blacks' and let nature take its course.

Who racially abuses someone for missing a penalty for the love of christ. Off the scale idiotic.

Wasn’t this suppose to happen at Wembley but hardly saw anyone with a mask?

I was at the Germany game and people wore masks going in but the issue is the whole concourse inside is pretty much either a bar area or food so you had thousands inside the concourse drinking and eating (and signing of course) so was entirely pointless having masks in the concourse areas unless you ban food and drink! (One idea would be allowing drink in your seat like most of Europe so outside rather than inside I guess).

The covid pass was required of either Vax or lateral test result though. I’m not totally against It for large events for the near future until cases drop at least, either a vaccine or negative lateral to get in seems reasonable.

Ban them from all games but the issue is social media. You don’t need to go Orient or England to racially abuse a player so until this is sorted and punished then it’s not going to change sadly.

It’s a real shame these scum bags have tainted this country’s image. The atmosphere created at Wembley in these games has been unbelievable, the sweet Caroline blazing across the stadium and is what we want to be seen, great fans, great atmosphere, instead Europe and the World sees these morons and assumes this is the majority. It’s soul destroying. Felt like we’d really made progress and come together before Sunday.

Most of the people who go to Wembley to watch England games are southern based because it is easy for them. How they behave is no reflection on the rest of us.

Social media is not the only issue like, there's also the political climate as well enabling this. I'm not just talking about the UK either, globally its toxic.

I'm not sure if I totally agree with photo id for Twatter etc. I get the idea but there are a lot of people who live in countries where they are oppressed and won't be able to speak out. This is where it falls down. It discourages criticism of governments or people's rights. And in a time where states are deliberately using the pandemic to increase monitoring of people's opinions and even freedom of movement, this plays into their hands. I dunno what the solution is but something needs to be done. The amount of racism on socials and in life generally is an increasing problem.

What’s the prize money clubs receive in the early rounds in the Papa John’s Trophy? I was told it’s £10000 for every win . That does seem a lot!

Yes it also allows the giants who find themselves in lge 2 a get out of jail chance.
They dont need the 10k and get knocked out early.
You then find teams at the top of the league chasing the dream.......They do well in the Papa John trophy [even reaching the final]
They then get a few injuries and blow a guaranteed promotion spot.

The Giant who got knocked out of both the papa john and the EFL cup in August re group and stroll to promotion

it took you 3 to 4 months to re-group... and getting promoted on the final day isn't exactly strolling to promotion.

Its a Marathon not a sprint...........If we had those extra 8/10 games we would not have gone up
Though in your case it was a sprint because you gained promotion without completing the league

While you are here we play you a week a Saturday.
You have allocated us 800 tickets between £13/£16 yet your 1000 season ticket holders will be allowed in for free

And for that reason i am out !!

Our season ticket holders always get free access to pre-season friendlies these days as a reward for buying season tickets. All our other fans and visiting fans pay for entry. It's been a club policy for at least the last 3 seasons - you not turning up is obviously another added bonus (only joking)
