I see the EFL has said that three League Two clubs have not paid their COVID loans back yet, namely Swindon, Scunthorpe and Oldham.

Salford losing £65k a week, currently £9mn in debt.

What was GNev going on about not having leaders this last year?????

Those figures are eye-watering. Just utterly ridiculous that a club at this level would lose that kind of money. It’s not as though they’ve got any decent return on that investment either on the pitch.

Hopefully that will be one of the first things our new owners do once the takeover is ratified. Lee Power, the current owner seemingly has not paid any bills the last year or so yet managed to pay himself about 250k from the club. Weasel.

They spend £121 for every £100 of income. As far as i am aware Tranmere Rovers spent £76 for every £100 of income in the same period.

Well our owner whilst sat in his Dubia pad or whatever he lives in thinks its fine to behave in this manner, he as the attitude of " you will get your money, chill out "
Really is not how we should operate but he has continued to do this, it seems even if he has the money he never pays on time. He has said in the past that this is the way business is where he's from.
Well he is deluded about the way thigs should be over here.
Wish he would just sell up or lose the big man ego and grow up !!

Thoughts go out to Walsall at this difficult time. He was absolutely shocking with us for the most part. Improved slightly once DC took over but still nowhere near good enough. Might well be the case in a different environment he could do ok but wasn't sorry to see him gone.

We were rumoured to have looked at signing Mills back in 2016 when he was at Boston United when Paul Cox was our manager but he went to Grimsby instead - I think Cox only wanted him because he had a long throw.... and Cox is a route 1 type of manager.

A few more and we might finish midtable!
You'll be fine.

It's not looking good for us and Rochdale right now, two more traditional FL clubs going down the drain.

I think decent back up payers are gold dust.

A player who doesn't play when everyone is fit but is good enough to do a job. He doesn't throw his toys out of the pram when dropped after playing well and is liked and respected by his teammates. Oh, and doesn't leave to get game time after one season.

Get one or two of those in your squad and you generally do well.

I liked Zak Mills and was surprised when we let him go as he was one of the few players to come out of Russell Slade's v2.0 era with any credit.

You've got a transfer embargo, I saw? What is that all about? The article I read wasn't that informative. You can still pick players up on frees, can't you?

Players on frees. Loans allowed but no loan fees or topping up of wages.

It's because we took the EFL loan to pay our players last year and haven't paid it back yet I don't think.

Our chairman has said that the regulations (players on frees with no loan fees) are just the same as our internal policies anyway so won't change much.

How are you guys getting on? Haven’t been keeping an eye out on specific clubs and their transfers really but would have thought you’ll be right up there next season?

Continues to prove that the fit and proper test isnt fit for purpose. Lee Power shouldn't be allowed to run a fruit and veg stall, let alone a professional football club.

both our September home games have been moved to Friday nights from Saturday at the request of Colchester (who apparently have requested that of a few clubs?) and Newport..... FFS

We had a few decent signings but nothing to make the rest of L2 stand up and take notice. Signed so far; Harvey Saunders, Aaron Collins, Mark Hughes, Sam Finley, Nick Anderton, Paul Coutts on perm and Connor Taylor and Sion Spence on loan. Although we haven't even got a RB currently !!
Your boys aint half going for it though!
