Apparently our staff and players have now received 60% of their wages. (albeit 15 days late) I am not sure if its a coincidence but Jack Payne and Ellis Iandolo have now come out of 'isolation' and are in training.

Still waiting on the EFL ratifying the takeover. Obviously the longer it takes the worse prepared we will be for the new season. Really hoping its done and dusted this week.

Christ. Apparently we owe HMRC a million quid.
Well, Axis we’re prepared to pay Power in excess of £7.5m for the club and are now only paying £215,000. That seems to indicate there’s a fair bit of money to pay off creditors - legitimate ones at any rate. Wouldn’t give Power the steam off my piss.

Yeah I agree. I've been speaking to someone today who is ITK (proper, not a bullshit merchant) and Power has some proper skeletons, some right nasty ones as well. The sooner him and his entourage are gone the better.

The takeover seems imminent now - couple of days. When it’s done do those skeletons remain Power’s skeletons or do the pass on to Clem?

PFA arranged the payment from the club’s parachute payment from the EFL. Kept it well out of Power’s grasping, pudgy mitts.

Think I'll dig out my boots and get over to the CG. Italy's old centre backs did well so should be a chance for a sprightly 64yr old

Anyone's ground cashless on a matchday? We've just implemented it and even the ticket office won't accept cash. Wondered what the thoughts are from clubs who have already gone down this route. It's been met with a bit of a backlash on our end.

Cash? Christ knows what Power would have mugged off if he had readies available. We’ve been card only for years.

You have gone decimal in your parts?

I don’t think we’ve gone cashless yet though I think there was talk of it at some point. Personally I say bring it on, been a long time since last went to Burslem in general but remember it being a pain to find a cash point (at least a free one). No doubt some of our more Luddite supporters will complain initially but they’ll get over it.

We'll be pretty much cashless this season but we've been going more cashless every season for the last 4 or 5 years.

Home ticketing has been fully online for the last 4 years or so (although you can still get a physical season ticket card if you don't want to scan in via your phone).

From August we'll effectively be cashless when our new catering company start with the added bonus of being able to order and pay from the stands via the app and get a message when your order is ready to be collected rather than queue for ages at HT (or place your order as you're walking to the Stadium).

Our more sensitive fans have had a meltdown this week. Selling Quigley = "players hate our new manager", cancelling a friendly = injury crisis that threatens our start to the season, going cashless = club is discriminating against the seven old people in Barrow who don't have a debit card.

I hope the players don't take the knee at the first home game, or it might finish some of these fans off completely!

Well I'd be fucked then if I was attending a game in the next 7 days and that ground was cashless. My bank card has been blocked due to payments going out that shouldn't have and the bank are sending me a new card which could take up to 7 days arrive so I cant pay for anything with a card at the moment. I've got 100 quid cash last me till my new bank card turns up.

We're cashless now as well apart from programme sellers. Having said that, you can now buy all our programmes online prior to our games and have them delivered to you as well.

Another week with hope in our hearts that we might get our takeover approved and the new owners can sort us out into something approaching normality. Unfortunately time really now is against us and its looking likely we are going to be this seasons Southend United.

Really hoping the deal is approved and we can at least get a manager and some players in place. Obviously there is all the stuff behind the scenes with safety certificates etc to be sorted as well so the staff at the club have a huge job ahead of them.

Wasn’t sure where to put this, but we’ve finally agreed a sponsorship deal with Morrison’s - the supermarket chain.

Ken Morrison, who opened his first store in Bradford many moons ago, always said he’d never invest in football - which was a crying shame, given what the City has done for him and his family. Fortunately for Bradford City AFC, Ken died in 2017 - and his younger sons/family have taken over with a much more youthful approach to marketing.

2 year deal secured - worth 7-figures. The collaboration will see the launch of the new Morrisons Community champions with the Bradford-based supermarket distributing a total of 5,000 free tickets for each season.

CEO, Ryan Sparks, is already highlighting the first home fixture against Oldham as a possible 20,000+ crowd. Seemingly, some of these free tickets will be utilised for this fixture.

I would anticipate an away sell out.
Many fans saying they will boycott home games and only attend away.
The chance to vent against the owners in a boystrous away atmosphere, localish game and first away game since the lockdowns.
Should be a great atmosphere as always, maybe a little volotile, hopefully the fans dont go too over the top.
