Well in that case the PL club owner doesn't know what he's talking about.

FWIW, even though I'm a proud lefty, I much rather we don't drag politics into every single thread that Devon Lad posts in. I mean we're not going to change his mind now are we? Just like he won't change ours.
Not while his scumbag party of choice are trying to destroy the NHS.

Oh you're right there. But I was thinking more about those footy fans that read this forum that just don't care about politics. If I was one such individual I'd probably feel uncomfortable.

Say what you can wherever you can because the Police Bill will shut down any form of protest soon. That piece of turd disgusts me. He brings politics up all the time. He calls everybody who disagrees with him stupid. I hope he gets the christmas and new year he deserves and that all the rest get a good one.

If they don’t like it they can fuck off. Both things affect all of our everyday lives, so why shouldn’t they be mentioned, especially given this fan led review has government backing and was led by a Conservative MP.

Fwiw, I would support the transfer stamp duty thing, far too much of fans hard earned cash gets pissed away to agents and intermediaries, transfer fees have gone mad so might as well make sure everyone benefits from it.

I'm a right on lefty and I would get rid of transfer fees completely.

Selling someone to another company is sefdom, buying someone to move jobs is serfdom. If a person wishing to move jobs is prevented until a fee is paid its, you guessed it, serfdom.

Any country in the 21st century allowing such practices, and worse still, profiting from them can hardly be called modern.

I sign a contract to work and I dont have to pay to move jobs. Why does a footballer?

I cannot see it changing anytime soon as nearly all the clubs and players profit from it. My club does it, your club does it. Its always gone on but it doesn't mean it's right.

Interesting but a lot of lower league clubs have relied on transfer fees over the years, probably most notably Crewe (although they are going through a lean spell at the moment admittedly).

Well we have definitely benefitted from transfer fees. And why shouldn't we be rewarded for bringing through players who develop into top players?

Of course you should. It’s how the pyramid works. Or at least, it used to.
we are all selling clubs down here in league 1 and 2 let’s face it. And we all need the money it brings.

Pools and Forest Green charged for not controlling their players last Saturday.

Apart from Sterry blagging a week or two on the sauce for his birthday. Nothing happened really.

Haven’t seen the incident if in fact there was one but it’s not the first time the FA have been quick to jump on something minor like this to prove their worth. A couple of years ago us and Orient got charged and fined after a game at Brisbane Road when one of their players took a dive and one of ours just gave him a few verbals. Nothing else happened just that but it didn’t stop them pulling us both up on it.

I've seen more aggro at the reduced to clear section in Tesco than what happened on Saturday, pathetic.

We were fined a couple of times for something similar last season where nothing happened.

Not sure where to put this but it may be of note to supporters of Luke James' former clubs, Pools and FGR, or anyone for that matter really. He's raising some money through Movember, sadly he's had a bit of a rough year to say the least, losing his Mam to cancer and his cousin through suicide within a matter of weeks. If anyone is interested in donating, here's the link:

Few things announced today. We’ve got money for January which may be linked to the second point. The tribunal for Twine joining Franchise is in December so that should be a few quid.

The Council have upped their valuation of the CG from £2.2m - which was 4 years ago. Can’t think it’ll prevent the sale, though.

Noticed that yesterday on my Twitter. Any sign of an intravenous red wine drip?

Also, slightly connected, Power is close to buying a prominent Bulgarian club. If he fucks them over he’ll end up worm food.

Tommy Wright, erstwhile assistant to that twat Sheridan has been banned from footballing activities for 6 years.

By that yardstick Sheridan himself should have a red hot poker shoved up his arse and then set alight to.

Ditto Power.

Joey Barton found not guilty of assaulting the Barnsley gaffer.

Did he use OJ Simpson’s lawyer?

some players make a handsome amount at every transfer, contrived or not , be it for their wag's benefit or their family's - check out their new cars and houses.............even our academy youngster's heads are turned before they've even completed a league season in paying back with good winning performances for all the effort that was invested in them in the previous ten years .

Somewhere on the internet many moons ago there was a YT edition of an undercover investigative documentary about dodgy football agents, the far East, and stuffing brown envelopes in smokey rooms ......a certain Mr Power was prominently featured in it.....are we on the same page ????

Banned from all football for 3 years fined £400 with £85 costs and a £40 surcharge, a bit harsh in my opinion but the twat should learn how to hold his beer.
