Banned from all football for 3 years fined £400 with £85 costs and a £40 surcharge, a bit harsh in my opinion but the twat should learn how to hold his beer.
Was not really interested in story until I read that the supporter lived in Minchinhampton: - five minutes away from TNL in next village to Nailsworth but 27 miles distant from Swindon.
I wonder if he will become a regular visitor at FGR for next 3 years?
He's only been banned from watching Swindon Town FC and International games.

Allocated 1124 for Exeter over Xmas. They won’t last long.

We’ve had some fan problems at various away games this season. May be police advice.

Vale v FGR has been re-arranged for Tuesday 1st February due to our FA Cup commitments... got to be honest I expected them to play it the Tuesday after the original date so pleased we've pushed it that far back.

We've just been told on a fans forum, that because our grounds capacity is under 10k, we don't need to enforce covid passes and LFT on matchdays - Apparently thats what the guidance thats been given states.

Yes - obviously they feel it isn’t an issue for crowds less than 10k.

Our CEO reckons that some clubs in Leagues One and Two will cap their crowds at 10k to try and avoid enforcing them.

Off the top of my head Bradford (In particular), Port Vale, Tranmere, Swindon, Carlisle and Oldham all have grounds over 10k.

A few borderlines which include Bristol Rovers, Walsall and Colchester.

Surely folk who have been to Newport have already encountered this.

not heard it is much of a problem there.

I certainly hope we do this. There is no way we will get 10k at this level, other than for a promotion decider or play off.

We've done it as well.

EDIT - Although our capacity will be down come February because we're starting to rebuild a stand.

Yeah although makes no sense, we will have well below the 10k (maybe Brentford in the cup will be above but doubt it) so you have 6k rattling around a 20k stadium so plenty of space.

Not sure how you officially cap it? Fans get very protective over their seats so if we shut a stand or something.

Ours will be a block or two in the away end I'm guessing, we're 10,400ish. That won't cause any issues unless it's still capped when Wednesday and Sunderland turn up because they'd sell whatever tickets they're given.

The wording I read was "unseated indoor events with 500 or more attendees, unseated outdoor events with 4,000 or more attendees and any event with 10,000 or more attendees", so attendees as opposed to capacity.

Surely all clubs will do is only sell 10,000 tickets. No need to shut stands or anything.

Apparently the prospective takeover of our club is off.

It's news to me that there ever even was one, certainly that we got as far (back in 2019) apparently as applying to the EFL for the fit and proper persons test... but that sums up the vagueness and secrecy of the people running the club.

We have over 12000 season tickets, so wouldn't work for us. We have already confirmed Covid passports required from Boxing Day clash with our neighbours Harrogate

We've keeping to our reduced capacity in the big bank which is below 4,000 - So the club have confirmed that the jab confirmation garbage isn't coming our way.

Spoken like a true Tory
Really? I'd say based on current circumstances that's the opposite to what the Tories are saying and doing. Segregating anybody based on medical status is not only absolutely disgusting, but extremely discriminatory. Especially when said jab (not vaccine) doesn't stop or even decrease, the chance of catching or spreading it, only the severity of the condition if you catch it. If anything, it's extremely worse if you take the jab and then go to these events, because you're much more likely to not realise if you have it and are much more likely to therefore pass it onto someone else, at least if you haven't had the jab you're more likely to know if you've got it and can stay away from people. Negative tests should be the only thing needed to enter events/stadia's, and not these god awful LFT that are so inaccurate it's almost like flipping a coin.

Whilst the club had to officially state they'll be enforcing it, I think we all know there's next to no chance of the stewards actually bothering with it.

This is a weird one and should encourage some discussion.

Manny Monthe has been suspended for 7 games for something he said to a FGR player when playing for Tranmere in May 2021. Obviously it's now a new season and he's playing for Walsall so now they lose him for 7 games for something he did at his previous employer. Now I don't know what he said but it does seem unfair on Walsall for this punishment.

Thoughts?

Think the allegation was for a homophobic comment directed at Chris Stokes? Might be wrong though.

Walsall would surely have known it was hanging over him when they signed him so to me I wouldn’t say they’ve been hard done to at all.

It’s a similar length ban to what Pope got for his Rothschild comments albeit his was on social media. I think they need to be careful how they apply it on the field though as things do get said in the heat of the moment etc though obviously there are certain terms I think everyone nowadays know not to use. If he said one of them then fair enough.

Looks like long term, Colin Calderwood will move upstairs into a technical director type role. Smart and long term planning from us for once.
