This is what I jokingly thought when i saw Colchester had permission to make their pitch smaller.

I wouldn't have thought they needed permission (as long as it wasn't smaller than 90x45m obviously).
maybe it's because it's mid-season.

Colchester's pitch (102x64) will be smaller than Salford's (105x68).

Yeah, I'm assuming the permission is regarding doing it mid-season. Seems a sensible enough solution for the time being until the whole thing can be dug up and sorted properly in the summer.

Anyway, it's just started pissing it down again so we'll find out pretty quickly whether it's helped.

Unless they have a spectacularly illegally wide penalty are, then there is no way that is correct. The pitch was notably narrow last night.

I spot a flaw in that plan...how about someone who takes a long throw, they would need to go about six gardens across!

Something dodgy gone on with the way Stockport have sold their tickets for our game on the last day of the season? Seen a few not happy.

Home tickets that were available all went in a couple of minutes.

They’ve done it where you’ve got to have done 15 away games so far this season to have qualified, so basically a tier system for away tickets.

I can’t say i’m an avid fan, but there were many “regulars” at mansfield that haven’t missed games in years who missed out at wrexham due to the poor allocation/demand - so for me they’ve prioritised those who’ve gone all season.

I'm not sure about this. Whilst the money is going to charity, the shirt is awful. If it had been home colour it wouldn't have been so bad.

Something like that but seems they've allowed those people to buy more than one ticket. Should be one account and one ticket.

Oh i didn’t know that, if that’s happened that’s a proper clusterfuck, certainly agree it should be 1 per person.

Lol wtf. So someone who has 14 games could theoretically lose out but those with 0 games can get tickets just by knowing the right people? Nightmare.

Insert obvious joke about it being a good one for Wrexham/Newport.

Not sure that is the case. Usually you can only buy one for each ST number

I believe yesterday they released the first day to Season ticket holders with 15 plus away games this season on their record

Today there was a scrap for what was left and was season ticket holders with 10 plus away games this season which was probably a fairly big number and created a bit of a free for all where some got lucky and most didn't.

I don't know for sure though, I didn't look on the system as I was never in the mix as a) I'm not a season ticket holder b) Only done about 6-7 away games and c) I'm not in the country that weekend anyway.

Just saw some whinging on social media, maybe it was just sour grapes from them at missing out then.

We should have something like that for our big away games towards business end of the season, minimum 15 games and you get first dibs. I have been to 9 or 10 league aways this season and season ticket holder but couldn't get one in the pot luck scramble for Crewe away.

Thing is there will always be flaws and workarounds these things.

We’re a good mate who lives down in bristol who moved down there 5 years or so ago, but doesn’t have a season ticket, he’s used mine for crawley, newport, wimbledon and gillingham when i’ve not been and my ST was used for notts county away when i was in scotland.

The system thinks i’ve been to 17 of the 20 away matches we’ve had so far this season even though ive physically been to 12

It's something like: When we were selling tickets for Salford away, those with 10+ aways got first refusal, and only about 170 qualified.

Then we start selling tickets for Wrexham away, those with 15+ get first refusal, and somehow 700 tickets have gone out the door, despite there only being two or three away games since the earlier Salford sale.

So as you can see, summat doesn't add up.

The ticketing portal we use is pretty decent tbh, but it’s down the the club how it’s at up.

Wrexham sold out in 6 minutes, and though they were on sale officially at 9pm on a sunday (as you do!) folk were already in a holding queue at 8-45, but they could get tickets for STs on their booking providing they had the ST number assigned to that person.

Sounds like you’ve had that happen, or similar.

The club will need to come up with something for barrow where there’s 950 odd tickets especially if there’s something f riding on it, and knowing mansfield’s ability to make everything more challenging going than normal there will be.

We’ll not do anything this season, Barrow will be a free for all. Perfect for the 40 or so already booked for the weekend!

There is an entire section in my Adam Stag folder which is entirely just quotes of you saying you don't go to games South of Birmingham so if any Mansfield fans miss out on any tickets PM me and we'll be able to bring this fraud down.

I need a Barrow ticket this time or I’ll probably never go.

I got very lucky with Wrexham, need to set a reminder in the future.

Doubt I would want to go, probably be on a Tuesday.

If there’s something riding on it they’ll be certainly be some in the home ends, know a barrow from watching england who’s already worked out that he can get 4 tickets for home games on top of his season ticket and out under his families names if we don’t secure any, good back up plan.

There's a fair few Welsh supporters on here. I know that they won't reciprocate but I wanted them to qualify.

Wales were pretty unlucky, put a decent effort in. I'm still not sure that disallowed goal was offside! I obviously have an affinity with Wales but I am an England supporter although I do always want all the Home nations to qualify for stuff tbh, I see celebrating Welsh and Scottish failure as punching down.
