Cheltenham were dross, relegation fodder. We somehow managed to make them look good, we were suckered down to their level and very lucky to get a point, only shot of the 2nd half.

It’s a concerning performance but also encouraging that after so many late goals against us when we should have won - Colchester, Cambridge, Bury - we’ve got one back when we don’t deserve it.

Unbeaten run continues.

Look it's pretty obvious Cheltenham are a poor L2 team but we were awful today, and they will feel hard done by.

It's good to get a draw while performing poorly though, usually we will play well and come away with the same thing.

We didn't play particularly well today but ground out another three points and another clean sheet to move into the top three.

We have a tricky few games ahead now though with Newport (A), Forest Green (A) and Exeter (H), so expect to slip back a little again.

Crewe were really really poor today. We're picking up some speed now, 2 wins on the bounce at home and only 7 points off the playoffs. Think we'll end the year in and amongst it, viva Keith Curle

If we can improve our away form we have a real shout at top 3 this season. Thoroughly deserved the 2-0 win today.

We’ve played all the top half apart from Bury, so in theory our next 6 games are an “easier” run. Interesting times ahead..

Our game was god awful. Two terrible teams separated by one moment. I guess this season is just about protecting our league status but jeez it’s not pretty.

Good game for me to miss. My boss phoned from the ground and said he wished he was at work too as we were so bad.

Apparently, MK Dons were pretty good though.

Conker’s comments about not being at the races against Cheltenham made me smile even though I don’t think think he actually meant it as a pun. ;)

Corrected that for you.

Not surprising, we have a team that range from reasonable to atrocious on a weekly basis. Doesn't help when the manager is crying for fouls that never were(in the lead up to the first goal), or whining about missed elbows when the game was already lost. Also doesn't help when he feels that he could have subbed more than 2 at half time and that some went through the motions and accepted defeat. If true, that means either he can't motivate them properly or they lack basic professionalism.

Meh, most of us predicted a lower mid-table finish, probably in the 15th-18th range again. Looking spot on so far.

I think it will come down to squad strength in depth- it is a long season and, as winter kicks in, injuries occur and players get weary.

Always a chance you'll get play-offs but I'd be surprised if you get to the autos- however, if you do, then that's a pretty good achievement in this league.

I'm still devastated after yesterday. The first coherent 90 mins we have put in all season, finally looked like a team that want to stay up and were holding on relatively comfortably, to be sucker-punched right at the death.

If we put in that kind of performance for the rest of the season we'll be fine. We just need to maintain the work-rate and determination that was on show.

I've seen a relegation squad at Cheltenham before, and this isn't one of them.

You won’t put in that kind of performance for the rest of the season! Don’t be silly. It’s a case of in how many matches you can

You looked a lot better than relegation fodder to me, you always give us a good game to be fair. Cheltenham are one of those teams we never seem to do very well against.

Like I said we were seriously off the boil yesterday but I think Cheltenham had a part to play in that.

Haha, I did have it at mind but the priority was not for the pun.

I’m not sure, they were technically terrible and looked to have little to no quality in their team, the results would suggest this also. What they did well was the ugly stuff, plenty of lumped balls, plenty of crosses etc, their harrying was pretty impressive. The sort of side id expect to finish 20th or so.

We were lucky, off the boil and got too embroiled in their game than playing ours. Positive to get something when playing so bad, Grimsby at home Tuesday.

We already suffered an injury crisis at the start of the season till now we have had 3 of our 4 full backs injured and two centre backs but came through that, we’ll have a fully fit squad when we play Crewe in a fortnight.

There’s plenty of money in the locker for January too if they feel there’s a player or two that is better than what we have. Top priority will be to give Norwood a bumper contract though. He wants to stay but money talks.

Going to try and stay grounded - it's a long season, and fortunes can change, confidence get knocked etc - but I'd have snapped your arm off for this start to the season! I'd have readily accepted the warm comfort of midfield obscurity in all honesty, but it's hard not to start to wonder... is it possible?

Exactly my point, they have enough about them to avoid relegation.

That Chelsea lad was a pain in the arse the entire game.

Agreed, but we could also do with signing Luke McCullough up permanently.

For once I agree with you, I was gonna put that we can all say after a good performance we’ll be fine if we play like that all season, but none of us actually manage to do it. Usually it’s back to being shit again the next game.

Try Mansfield’s new tactic. Win 1 draw 1, win 1 draw 1.

Trust me, your game against us is a nailed on three points. We haven't beaten any of the top eight, and we always lose at your place. I'm only going because I'm seeing some friends in Chelmsford that weekend

You’ve timed it well to play us it seems after originally RUNNING SCARED of us after our incredible 2 game WINNING STREAK!!!
Now we’ve lost the last 2 it will probably be another defeat for us whereas had we played on the original date I’m certain we’d have won by a 3 or 4 goal margin. ;)

First time this season Maddox has been played in the middle and he was fantastic. Would you believe he's been on the left wing all season?

You saw what I saw yesterday, and that's why I'm a bit more confident. Last week against Stevenage we had none of that fight, that harrying or the shit things done well.

It's all well and good doing that though but ultimately we need to get some wins under our belts.

Our home game against Lincoln on the 17th has been postponed because of our international call-ups. Yet to be rescheduled.
