What annoys me about complaints about us scoring in the 12th minute of added time is that the 12 minutes were there for Exeter to score as well but they didn't, had it not been for Matt Ingrams wonder save in the 95th minute we would have lost but heh that's why we all love football.

Another point in the match; why wasn't this a penalty?

Anyway, I thought Wycombe looked alright, especially their lad Saunders. Just think anyone that saw the game would be being unrealistic to say we didn't deserve the win.

Ah well, onto Southend.

Saunders is a quality player. I remember really rating him when he played for Daggers and then also at Brentford. I would love to have him in our side. Do Wycombe fans think you'll sign him permanently if you go up?

I think we have a chance, he's clearly surplus to requirements at Brentford and he seems to like it here, but it depends if we can afford a player used to Championship wages, which is frankly dubious.

I would love for us to sign Saunders but he appears to be one of those players that won't leave the south-east. Paul Benson was the same when we offered money for him a few years back (in Benson's case I'm glad he turned us down!)

$hr€w$bur¥ certainly have more chance of getting him from a cash perspective though.

I weren't there, mixed reports on whether it was or it wasn't so won't argue too much as I haven't seen it. JS unimpressed though (we should have had a penalty, shock!!)
I was there - and both teams were utter shite. The Daggers were there for the taking, but both teams were resorting to lumping it up to a non existent front man. Elliott Lee was our best player I thought, but he can't do it all on his own. Players like Cullen and Guttridge seemed disinterested. The later with about 20 minutes to go timewasting at 0-0!

On the red card - at the time I immediately thought red card. I think the decision is fair enough, albeit I was a million miles away from the incident. I don't recall Luton having a stonewall penalty turned down?

We're not going to get promoted. Especially having to take at the very least a point from Southend away, if almost certainly a win.

I think John Still was certainly interested last summer.

Doubt we can afford Saunders even if we're in League 1 next season, shame as i'd love to see him become a Wycombe player helping us to settle if we go up.

Looks clear-cut, especially the second pic. Not that it's relevant but what was the score at the time?

1-0 Wycombe I'm pretty sure.

How can photos show wether it's a penalty or not? What were the movements of both players before photo was taken? Pathetic!

Well I was at the game. So all it does is confirm what I saw with my eyes.

Why are you so touchy?

If we pull this off tonight then you're welcome everyone! Burton have annoyed me now, their press officer had a go at us for time wasting... does he not remember the game at our place when their time wasting was a disgrace too? Hope we pull this off, and if nothing else we've cracked a few skulls by the sound of it...

Burton have annoyed me a lot this season. Dirty team, dirty tricks and dirty press office by the sounds of it too.

As quoted on the Shrewsbury messageboard

When do we get the elastic stopwatch and others get the phantom goal-line?

TBF we have scored a few late goals ourselves this season, and were lucky not to concede a penalty at Mansfield.

Keeps title hopes alive, which is the best scenario after last night. Hopefully all but secure promotion on Saturday now.

3 points needed from 3 games, We only need Wycombe, Bury or Southend to slip up in one of their 3 fixtures to be sure of promotion. Still between us and Shrewsbury for the title. A draw was the least we deserved last night, onward to Morecambe on saturday.

Is this what we're know as now? I'd hazard that your loanees from Brentford are earning as much as any of our players - I guess it depends on what % of their wages you are paying....

Rumour has it that our budget is not in the top 5 in league 2 this year

I'd be highly surprised if it wasn't it the top five, but Shrewsbury are where they are on merit, as are Burton and Wycombe. Ainsworth must be a shoo-in for manager of the year, especially considering the level of expectations and where they finished last season.

I think he means in terms of us and Wycombe. Wycombe clearly do not have money to spend whereas we've got money in the bank and potentially some big fees to come with Goldson and Woods.

I'd be very surprised if we were paying a large % of our loan players' wages.

I don't begrudge clubs having cash to spend, what's the point, and we were once a high-spending club also, but not now.

Which put us 6 million in debt thanks to Hayes time as owner.

So I found out yesterday that we're known as 'Carliar' on the Shrewsbury messageboards... why is that?

I'm not sure it's that common a name but I have seen a couple of posters use it. I think it has something to do with the late cancellation of a tuesday night game up at your place after many fans had called your club and been reassured it was going ahead. I could be wrong though...

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
yep your right, I think a lot are still quite annoyed about that one all these years later.

I can understand that view so never argue it, I still remember Lincoln and 2001

I know a fellow Salop fan who drove up to the first game from his home in Basildon (Essex) and got to Carlisle just as the game was called off. The same guy was mad enough to make the same trip a week later for the rearranged game....
