Every winning run must come to and some time. I shouldn't worry about us with our injuries, comes with having a small squad but at least the ones who can play have heart unlike last season.
It already has. We lost to Morecambe the other week.

now come and join us salop !
huge congrats to Burton on their well deserved promotion. 1 more point from the last 2 games or a draw in the bury v southend game on tuesday will be enough for us. I'm still hoping for a shot at the title but would be more than happy 'just' to get automatic promotion.

Yeah we seem to do worse v middle of the table teams. Can see Wimbledon turning us over.

Congrats to Burton. Still totally buzzing off the late win today Dan Bentley does not concede

  • Thank you to all who have sent congratulations. I never dreamed when I started following the club nearly 50 years ago we would one day reach the 3rd tier of English football. The title would be a nice bonus. Onward to establish ourselves in league 1

Tuesday night is massive if we win we will surely be favourites to go up looking at Wycombe injuries

Whoever wins will be the favourite imo. Draw and it swings back to Wycombe, at least till Saturday anyway ;)

Great way for Burton to comeback after losing last seasons play off final

Another promotion beckons for Shrewsbury's Micky Mellon

How many of his promotions haven't been money assisted though? You can't deny that Shrewsbury have spent a fair amount of coin on their squad.

That said, how many managers gain promotion without the necessary finance these days? Hasselbaink/Rowett and Ainsworth at Wycombe seemed to have bucked this trend, which makes their achievement even more remarkable.

Congratulations on your promotion, Brewers. Fully deserved and great to see hard work and honesty paying off.

Congatulations Burton, fully deserved your team has just kept pulling out results all season and I do think you will win your last 2 games for the Title, as you seem unbeatable.

Pleased for Cansdell Sheriff as well!

Our budget this season has still been less than the one used in our relegation season which gives an indication on the investment required to compete in League 1!

The big advantage I think we had was Micky Mellon was able to start with a clean slate bar 3 or 4 players. It's all very well having money but it does not guarantee success, a Manager still has to put a winning squad together. Also it can be argued our 2 best players this season are Woods and Goldson, homegrown!

I would say we are favourites for the title but if we do lose out and Shrewsbury pip us there will be no sour grapes. Whoever finishes top after 46 games will deserve to do so. After that the last auto-promotion place is really difficult, really feel for Wycombe who are struggling with injuries to a small squad and the loss to suspension of Aaron Pierre who has been a rock at the back. Tuesday's game at Gigg lane could go either way or be a draw, I just wouldn't like to predict that result. Its any ones guess over the last 2 games.

We will lose tomorrow, it's the Bury way.

You generally play better than you did on saturday right? Not a dig at all, we were shit and as soon as you scored you kept it tight. We didn't look like scoring at all in the second half.

Wasn't there but from what you've just described it sounds like the perfect away performance

Will it though? I've been thinking about this. As long as Bury avoid defeat tomorrow, I'm still confident about going up automatically, given the small squad crisis Wycombe are having at the moment (injuries, suspensions and players playing out of position).

If we get a point, I'll still be satisfied. 1 point behind Wycombe with 6 points to play for.

Any Bury fan would've glad fully taken that 15 games ago
