Good point for us tonight at Cambridge.

Dagenham would you mind staying up please, a league with ourselves, yourselves, Barnet and maybe Colchester and Crawley would save us all alot of money.

Don't forget about us. It'll be good to have a few more 'local' games.
We're just hanging about waiting for all of you.

A few seasons ago L1 had a very southern bias, but it settled down again. Despite the fact that we'd have lots of local games in the conference, I'd rather stay up.

It was a decent point for the Daggers tonight. There will be a lot of nail-biting before it's all sorted.

Play more like we did in the 2nd half on a consistent basis and we'll be alright.

But we won't obviously. Because that would just be too easy.

I thought Daggers would get something last night but glad it was only a point.

I never know why but always seems to happen, that old 'after the lord mayors show' cock-up in following game.

Is it 3 points separating 8 or 9 teams now? This is going to be great fun towards the end of the season.

Thought exactly the same here. It seemed all too inevitable that Cambridge who held their own against United then go on to lose to a faltering Dagenham 4 days on, it's the backwards sort of logic you get in football.

With Carlisle dropping into the bottom 2 I'd say the pressure is on them to get a win this Saturday. It's going to be a long few months!

I think the pressure was on us anyway. It's maybe marginally increased with dropping into the relegation zone, but with goings on behind the scenes, people are getting worried about the football club's future and desperate for us to get any wins we can to ease those fears.

At the end of the day and we know it full well at Carlisle it is not who is in the relegation place now, or in Feb or March or April. It is not who is the bottom 2 going into the final day.

Until your mathematically safe you can be in trouble and until your mathematically relegated you have a chance of survival.

while being in relegation zone does highlight you have to improve your side it isn't anything to worry about, unless the gap grows to 7-9 points or so then yep its a problem, but still not impossible as Torquay showed once.

Bristol Rovers last season will be quoted for years as the example to go along with this

It's where you are when the music stops.

That is true, sure Bristol Rovers didn't drop into the bottom 2 until the final weekend!

Think they said they were only in the bottom two for 15 minutes over the course of the season... sadly for them it was the last 15 minutes.

EDIT: Fact check... it was Wycombe's 3rd goal in the 62nd minute that put them above Rovers on goals scored, so about half an hour

And we were in the relegation spot on the 93rd minute of the last game of the last day of the season and Scarborough had already got the champers out celebrating when the Tannoy bloke announced they had gone down.

it is a very cruel game so you always need to be wary till safe, but that is why we love it because anything yet can happen.

Their fans said they did that because there were Bristol City fans in the away end which has been proved wrong, they're just mindless knuckle dragging thugs.

Think it was made worse for Brizzle fans because they were so sure they were safe. Hope always makes it worse! Wilder did a great job in keeping us up in the end.

The FootballWebPages prediction table has Cheltenham joining Pools in next season's Conference, but I think it's more likely to be Mansfield owing to their poor scoring record (only 21 goals).

Then again it could be Carlisle have let in so many goals this season. It's far too early to say who will join Hartlepool as there's still time to get players in on loan which could turn a team around with a few new faces

I am still very worried at our sheer lack of Action in this Transfer window.

tranmere have thrown a lot at it, so have Northampton, both have given themselves a better chance of survival than the rest of us really, but of course is no guarantee and their new players could fare no better.

At present we've added 2 new players (right back for me is just replacing what we had) a gritty old headed defensive midfielder (fair enough improvement) and a young forward.......that we'll have to see.

We still seem to have a stronger looking centre and weak wide positions, in a way I worry we seem inactive in trying to improve out wide, but maybe Curle plays a central formation I suppose

I genuinely dont see us as being in a relegation battle. I think we are an outside bet for the playoffs.

wait till you lose 2 on the bounce

Our next 4/5 games are all extremely winnable. I fancy us to do what York did last year coming from way back to get a playoff spot. Would happily bet anything that we wont go down!

No chance of you going down. Should be in the play-offs with the money you spend.

Looking at what happened to Scarborough after that fills me with dread... however they didn't own their stadium I think. When you don't own your stadium it can cause all kinds of issues.

The thing with Mansfield is that while I still reckon they'll be involved, I get the feeling that even if they're not playing well, they're that sort of side this season that will grind out a 1-0 win here and there or scrape a 0-0 against one of the big boys to just do enough to stay up. Although they have added quality as well which should shine through, especially with Billy Kee.

I get the feeling that us and Cheltenham in particular may not be able to do that enough.
