It looks like it could be one of the closest relegation battles for a long time, i still am looking at 50 points although it does seem like more may be needed.

but i am thinking with so many down there a couple won't get to 50

I can't see hartlepool getting to 50.

But the rest are pretty much on par to get 50 as a minimum.

As you and dagenham have proven, a few wins and you rise up that table, lose a few and all of a sudden the chasing pack catches up again and you are back to square 1

So, anywhere nice in non-league these days? Guess we can always open our stadium in front of 12 Forest Green fans...
We're not going anywhere, so here's one place!

Wilcox under pressure already?

I don't want York to go down. Providing we avoid the drop obviously. It's the only decent away day this side of London in this league and looking at who's coming down from League 1 and up from the Conference it's not going to get any better!

They've been there or there About's all season. Nothing special at all.

York would be a big loss to the league though, I'm guessing the likes of ourselves, dagenham and tranmere are hardly exciting to go to compared to lovely york - always a good day.

I could cope with losing York if it meant Cheltenham stayed up. Love going there.

I don't particularly want York to go down atm. When they're at some really hard to get to out of town new flat-pack stadium however...

Cheltenham's decision to swap Yates for Buckle is looking worse by the minute. Think we all called it, anyway.

We should be well out of this tonight. Now we're right back in the shit and with the next 3 games and confidence shattered, we could well find ourselves back in the bottom 2 within the vector couple of weeks.

Ronnie is going to keep Hartlepool up. I can feel it. Be just typical if it's at our expense! Carlisle - commiserations. Shrews did it to us at their place when we had ONE minute to go at 0-1. Lost 2-1. They just have that about them. Saw enough from Carlisle on Saturday to say they should be fine providing injuries don't flare up again. I'm incredibly nervous now with the games coming up in March.

Have to say it's just getting depressing now. Still i reckon we won't go down but we're making hard work of it.

I think the sides down here are pretty much going to be down here until the end of the season and it's just who falls unlucky on the final game.

Losing at Morecambe is pretty depressing - we've home games against Northampton, Luton and Dagenham before the month turns, and we need 4/6 points from those

Very interesting set of results, Hartlepool the big winners and all of a sudden a 6 point gap doesn't look so daunting. Cheltenham are in an absolute mess, think most of their fans are fed up with Buckle now as well, although we all knew they would be, sadly. Good to see Mansfield enhancing their reputation down the bottom as well. Keeps it all very tight.

I think Luton has become a must win... not because it's a game we should be winning, but because if we don't win it then the 'what could have been' thoughts about that Shrewsbury game will set in, and that's when we could find ourselves on a really bad run.

Always seems to be like that game played at school, something like "what time is it Mr Wolf" one lot would move one step forward while the others were still, you didn't look and then the others crept up when you wasn't looking.

There is no decent side in the bottom 8 and as i said earlier, could be anyone, Cheltenham seem to be making a good fist of things right now.

Injury wise, we really are beginning to struggle - we all have them, but this season has been a real joke in the last month or so - we may not have enough fit midfielders on saturday so may have to change formation accordingly

I don't think Luton is a must win at all Shoddy...............it is 'must perform'

I think we can lose, it isn't end of world, but we cannot afford to be hammered, morale will have taken a hit so it needs a dogged, gutsy performance to just install abit of fight back in team.

which I think we'll get. the league is poor across board it should not be a worry to play top sides they are not much better than the bottom this season.

I feel a lot more confident about staying up now than I did 2 or 3 weeks ago. Making Ayo's loan signing until the end of the season was vital for us, 5 clean sheets in 8 games alongside Doe which shows what a good defensive partnership can do in this league. Was never a fan of Saah and since he's gone out of the season we've stopped haemorrhaging goals which can be no coincidence...not sure how long we can keep Abu at right-back either but I feel a lot more confident with him there rather than Batt.

The only area I do worry slightly is up front. We have Cureton which is obviously a massive boost, and although Jakubiak has shown glimpses of what he can do I don't think he's produced any consistency yet, not with goals at least. Him and Cureton strike me as very similar players.

There's no chance we are going to be out of this any time soon. We have a group of players who just aren't good enough to consistently put in performances to drag us away or have the ability to build on results. We've had 3 league wins under Murray which were all followed up by defeats, fans get dragged into this naivity that once we've won we will go on some sort of good run but we won't we always just balls it up.

Now we're back to square 1 again, fantastic. We can't keep a settled side because key players constantly just keep getting injured and when an 11 does play well they just decide to put in their worst performance the next game. How on earth we can go from not conceding a shot on target against Stevenage to the worst defensive display in the first half last night is just inexplicable.

We can't afford to be having your passengers and overrated players such as Tafazolli and Lambe in the side, they aren't ready for the battle. We need to get leaders and experience back in the side, Riley and Dempster have to start Saturday and how Marsden hasn't got a look in I don't know. Murray's been far too loyal to the current back line who have shown time after time they are incapable of doing basic jobs such as set pieces.

We're still not safe by any means but tightening up at the back with three clean sheets in a row means we're doing something right.

Still been an utter dismal season though and we're looking at the lowest league finish in our history.

I see Accrington are drifting closer to the bottom 2.. Bad time to be out of form.

I think mentality wise it'll be a blow for the players if they don't bounce back. Maybe I'm assuming that the players will have the same mentality as I do, but unless it's an exceptionally well won point I'll feel that a draw will just increase the feelings of regret that will hurt morale.

On the plus side... Rigg and Wyke will give the Luton defence far more to think about than Paynter and Elliott did on the opening day. The pair of them seem to have this ability to just pop up in the most unlikely of locations and they both tackle back as soon as they get tackled themselves.

The football was wank again. We tried it for 2 games and we have panicked and gone back to this long ball crap. Matt Rhead is shit.

Dave, I think the standard of the top 5 is high, as shown by the points gap being created from 1st to 7th.

Yes Carlisle put in a decent performance last night, but be honest have Carlisle not been poor upto the last 5 or 6 games, and it has taken a new Manager and 3 signings to change the attitude at Carlisle. I expect Carlisle to find a compfortable mid table position if continueing in the same groove!

I have seen us play every team this season, and without a doubt the best 3 have been Southend, Burton and Wycombe! and with the exception also of Luton and Stevenage by some distance!
