The Cheltenham game will be massive for us... but Wycombe is the most important one at the moment. Still good to see they didn't manage to nab all three points.

It sure was - I was getting worried when I looked and saw 1-0, so thank you Accrington. I think all the other relegation candidates are hoping Cheltenham don't pick up any form, they seem to be the team most likely to go down at the moment, although i'll be more confident saying that depending on how tomorrow goes.

Carlisle are 100% relegated.
Can't see this bunch of useless c*** picking up another win all season.

Hartlepool will overtake us.

Great banter by Beck getting sent off less than a minute into his game. What a player. In all seriousness, glad we didn't lose 3-0 today as that would have been horrific for our morale. 1 more tough match to get out of the way, then the rest of our season begins. Every game a cup final.

An excellent day if you follow the lads at Prenton park, great result and great day added up by everyone else failing.

Apart from tranmere, the rest of the bottom lot had a nightmare day, ourselves, dagenham, Cambridge and York got dicked royally.

Great win, hopefully we can make use of our game in hand on Tuesday giving us a bit of a gap before the Cheltenham match.

Frustrating day as we had a real chance to pull ourselves clear. Burton were solid, we were solid. It had 0-0 written all over it. Then we opened the scoring after a defensive mistake and it kicked them up a gear. They brought on El Khayati, what a player he turned out to be. Quick feet absolutely bamboozled our backline. They then punished us twice in quick succession and then scored a third late on when we were pushing to equalise.

65 minutes in, a draw would have been fair, the last 25 minutes though, they showed what a good team they are.

The next three games we have Mansfield, Hartlepool and Tranmere. I'd happily take a solid 4 points and still have a gap. Scared of us going on a losing run and being dragged right back into it.

Correct Adam. Some of the results were unfuckingbelievable. Pompey score 6 away goals, Oxford beat Mansfield by 3 clear goals and York letting in 3 is another one. Stevenage's 4-2 win over Southend is another one, but it doesn't concern us.

As predictable as you like today from us. Said it earlier in the thread, we simply can't follow a win up with anything other than a shambles of a performance. We might as well just give up playing once we concede as well, there's no backbone in the side to come back into a game when things go against us. We're in this until the final week and we've got to hope that there's two teams worse than us in the league and make radical changes in the summer.

The most frustrating thing for me is that it's the same thing every time yet Murray keeps picking the same back line. We gift goals to teams particularly away from home, yet Murray always picks Sutton-Riley/Raynes-Taf-Elder and then expects it to change. Yes when they are good they are brilliant but the problem with the most of that defence is they can't do it every week.

Despite how shit we are, I think there's worse teams than us, Hartlepool and Cheltenham especially. Three losses in a row with another tough game at Southend next week, where we'll probably get smashed again.

There aren't worse teams than us unfortunately. We are absolutely terrible.

If those odds are still available, get your money on us. We're down.

I actually think we'll finish rock bottom. It's between Cheltenhsm and Hartlepool for that second bottom spot.

I still think we'll stay up, plenty of winnable games remaining, and 42 points still on offer. It'll be close, but I'd be pissed if we finished below Cheltenham/Hartlepool.
Maybe I'm just being optimistic though :(

I also think we can still stay up. Our form before this horrible run was not that of a team that gets relegated, so as long as we can get back to that after the Southend game we ought to just scrape it.

Great result today - to all the Carlisle fans, we did to Shrewsbury what you did to us. In their face and hassled them all game. Other results going our way is a massive bonus and we can afford to lose at Pompey as long as we beat Cheltenham next week. And there in lies the problem...you literally never know which Tranmere will turn up. We could be 9 points clear of Cheltenham next weekend or level with them. I can't predict it, but if we don't make the most of this opportunity, we could well be going down as we have some tough games coming up.

Cheltenham will decide their own fate, as well as some of ours, over the next few weeks. Hopefully they completely bottle it, starting with a convincing loss against Tranmere next week. For some of us the only hope is that another team is worse than us, and Cheltenham appear to be the most likely to be that team. If the rest of the relegation candidates can group together and beat them in their next few games - that is, us, Tranmere and Mansfield - then they'll be looking pretty bad and in turn we'll be looking good. Obviously i'm working on the assumption that Hartlepool are done for which, looking at their forum, I think is fair.

Don't expect us to beat Cheltenham. It may happen, but as our 1-1 v Hartlepool, 0-2 against Carlisle and 0-2 against York showed, we are just as capable of a proper cock-up as we are a good result. I'd say look after yourselves, as I'm not sure even we can rely on us!!!

Don't think we have the best of records in Cheltenham tbh... anyway, I'm going to that one, so we'll definitely lose!

At this moment in time I'd be happy with a point at both Portsmouth on Tuesday and at Cheltenham next Saturday.

Don't recall us ever winning there and I'd settle for a point. Probably Elliot Richards scoring for them and Odejayi for us to stick to the ex-striker scoring against former club rule. Should be grateful Terry Gornell's no longer there!

I've been saying for weeks that Tranmere will pull away. Today was the start of this.

As for us, i can't see how we're going to get anywhere near 50 points. We are a dreadful, dreadful football team. Possibly the worst I've seen at this level.

Hartlepool need to win 9 out of 14 to hit the magical 51pts. Can't see them doing that, can you?

our next home game is against Cheltenham.

I can really see Cheltenham winning.

Therefore... come on Tranmere, please please please beat them for us.

Just thought I'd add my thoughts to this.

The Conference is looking to be a pretty scarily bad prospect next season to be honest.

We already have FGR and Eastleigh as bank rolled clubs on million quid plus wage budgets. You're probably looking at Fylde and Barrow who are both bank rolled coming up from Conf North (Fylde on 200 gates for fuck's sake). Possibly Boreham Wood and Bromley or Whitehawk from the south - again absolute tin potters with money men behind them (especially Whitehawk).

Add to that the ex league teams: Wrexham, Grimsby (if they're still here) and it's looking like it will be difficult to get out and depressing to be in.

In summary, it would be desperately depressing for any of you to be relegated!

Wish we'd nabbed your manager while we had the chance tbh

We love Barrow over here! Very easy to beat. But it does look more bankrolled than ever.

Well you would be if you watched the shite I watch at Brunton Park every week.

I've seen some shite Carlisle teams in my time, but this one tops the lot.
