I've seen several Cheltenham fans who were at that end say they think it was a harsh decision.

I'm not entirely sure any appeal panel is going to take the comments from a couple of Cheltenham fans who were near where the challenge happened into their considerations. There is video evidence showing the referee clearly making the right decision. Get over it.

To be fair too Yeovil fans slated us for bemoaning their antics in the cup game last season which saw Gibbons harshly sent off for a tackle not that much dissimilar!

Ricky Miller got sent off for less than that a couple of weeks ago although a similar sort of challenge. If thats a red that James one certainly is. Its the Scissor motion isnt it thats the big problem there?
The assistant who flagged in that game was here at work earlier in the week. Said it was one of the worst cases of abuse he'd ever had.

He reffed Lincoln a handful of times in the NL, too.

I think the only fair outcome is for the FA to throw the book at Yeovil and deduct ten points for each person who thinks that isn't a red card.

Did I see Cameron had his red rescinded? Right decision if so.
Yeah rescinded a couple of days later. Problem is that was no use to us, if the correct decision had been made in the first place, there's a good chance we'd have picked up points that day.

To be fair it got over shadowed three days later by an even more farcical red card for Gibbons at Newport which was barely even a foul! Luckily we appealed that one and got it rescinded! Soccer AM even tweeted it!

Very much doubt he will be ready to play in time for Saturday. Probably be Harris who we’ve loaned from Cardiff up front on his own.

Not sure, Pope said he was aiming to be back for Cambridge and I believe is back in training? Montano being back is a huge boost with sixty minutes today in the reserves so should be ready who was scoring for fun before his latest injury. Whitfield I guess will be back too?

Turner did himself no harm today either.

Nice trip to Chorley for the lucky winners of 23rd and 24th as it stands.

Torquay from the south is a decent day mind.

Have Torquay sorted out their off field issues yet?

There is also Salford if they don't go up, oh that'd be a reality check, losing 3-0 at home to them as 3 Salford and 44 former FCUM turn Salford fans sing 'who are ya.'

Or the other 22 getting saddled with them doing it if they go up!

Well Salford's average home attendance is 2516 in the National League, whilst Accrington's is 2611 in League One. So I'd much rather Salford in the footy league than Accrington tbh.

Accrington have history Salford dont? How many of those 2516 supporters watched Salford 5 years ago.

Accrington’s history only started in 1968

Salford have been going since 1940

Size is important

History is obviously very important

But you are where you are (currently) based on nothing but results. In the short / immediate term that’s all that matters.

Salford, Accrington all the same to me if in the same division

I understand what you are saying, but that's a bit of a blinkered way of looking at it.

MK Dons for example average 7,500 which is way higher than AFC Wimbledon, but I know which one I would rather have in the league, regardless of attendances.

I think others may also be against the way Salford are 'buying' their way into the league. They are doing nothing wrong (as far as I know) but clearly have a bigger advantage over other clubs in that they have wealthy benefactors.

Generally, most football fans poo poo vanity projects like Rushden & Diamonds etc and yearn for the good old days before Sky.

MK Dons is a bit of an exception. They essentially stole a club. They never had to work up the leagues, at least Salford, albeit with money, are doing that. Don't think you can compare them. Money is football now. It's going to be like that, this is how it'll always be. Someone chucking shed loads of money into a shite club nobody has heard of to get them into the footy league

The Salford of now are not the Salford of 5 years ago. They've changed kit colour and badge - the only thing they haven't done is move.

I'm sure, like with FGR, there are a few of the old die-hards who have given up on the club due to the changes.

We've changed kits and badges over the years as well. We used to play in the same colour green as Pl*mouth

It depends on history and tradition though doesn't it. According to Historical Kits, Exeter hasn't worn green as a home kit since 1911. If the club decided to change to green now, without consultation with the fans, there'd be uproar surely?

The same goes for any club that's been around for a length of time. In the formulative years of the game then kits changed colours all the time, but when things settled down clubs settled into their colours.

Cardiff are the Bluebirds and wore blue - the outrage when they went to red was off the scale, including boycotts of the club. Luckily Tan saw sense and went back to their traditional colours. Just changing at a whim basically tells fans "Fuck you, what I want is more important" and that's what the Class of 92 did with Salford.

Apparently, we wore red and white stripes way back in our history. Inconceivable that we would ever consider that now.

We did, started of in All Red I think then went to the Red and White stripes...

Also left the White/Black for Black and Amber stripes in the 60s I think for a few years and of course the random change to Black and White stripes 2008/10.

We also occasionally ditch the Black shorts for All White but it usually ends in relegation... last year was the first time in decades we went All White and didn't go down! 1999/2000 and 2007/08 the last two times we changed prior to that and both ended in doom.

Not a fan of it (Although I haven't heard much uproar from Salford about it - have you?).

To suggest because they've changed kit colours (when most clubs have) they are less deserving of being in the football league than Accrington, even though they'll secure much more fans is a bit strange. They've been around for longer than them and have better attendances. So I'm all for them coming in and Accrington getting back to back relegations.

Although - I would rather Hartpool, orient, chesterfield etc all were promoted over Salford. But if it was a straight swap, I'd take Salford over Acc all day long.
