I've just gone on the Non-League forum to dip a toe in the water and say hello. Oh God please don't make us go there.

All I got was fans of the so-called 'big' clubs (Hartlepool, Wrexham...) telling me how tinpot Yeovil are and how un-tinpot they are. I couldn't put up with a season (or more) of that.

For all the doom and gloom Port Vale are an incredible 8/1 for relegation !

Maybe the bookmakers have been reading the Yeovil fans comments on this thread

We need four wins really, maybe 3 wins 4 draws so it is doable if we can get a result. If we won tomorrow then I guess the mood would change. We haven't scored a goal in over a month though!

After last season I have to say it’s great to read the relegation thread and not be involved in it.

He has been out since Newport but returned to training Friday so should return at the weekend if tomorrow is deemed too soon.

The sad thing for them is for most people under 30 Yeovil would probably be considered a bigger club, not like it really matters.

He is a big loss but hadn't been in great form mid season to be honest. Early season we were wondering how we would keep him in January but went right off the boil.

I appreciate your honesty . There are plenty of players in League Two who’s form drops due to a variety of reasons mid season .

Well, guess we can't rely on Morecambe being useless anymore.

13 home games
1 win
9 defeats
10 goals scored
26 goals conceded

This is why we are going down.

Well worth noting throughout March and April we play Cambridge, Crawley, Cheltenham, Vale, Notts and Yeovil in 6 out of a run of 7 successive games (the other being Mansfield in between Crawley and Cheltenham).

I feel as if we're gonna have a big say in this relegation scrap. Most the teams have to come to Fortress Gresty as well with the exception of Cambridge and Vale. And our recent record at Vale Park is exceptionally good too...

Dunno what’s happened to be honest? Performances against Cambridge, Northampton for example didn’t suggest this would happen to the home form. Two away games hopefully gives us a chance but Jesus its fucking depressing. Can’t actually say anyone bar Colchester has even rocked up and looked that good either that’s how bad it has been!

You either win (which usually happens) or on odd occasions get thrashed. Given I can’t even remember us doing a league double over you I very much expect the former, every other team beats us at VP so don’t see why you’ll be any different.

Can only recall us getting walloped twice at Vale Park (Been going since 2001-02). Once when you had Akpo and Constantine and the other when we were relegated under Dull Davis. Only other time I remember us losing there was a narrow defeat in the season Adams left you the first time.

9 wins and a draw mind in the other 10 games I remember us playing at Vale Park. But you usually get a result at our place anyway...

Think the first one you mentioned Luke Rodgers on one of the few times he wasn’t flagged about 5 yards offside scored for us and then proceeded to run to the Crewe dugout and give Gradi a few verbals.

Looking ahead we have Cheltenham and Notts away. It’s not must win territory but 4 points really needs to be the target from these games. I think tonight’s result for Notts is more a result of a few tough games catching up with them so wouldn’t read too much into it from their perspective so that will be extremely hard.

4-2 in the massive Checkatrade last season...

To be honest the best quality game was the 1-1 the season you went up. Absolutely superb game by both sides. Sure Byron Moore equalised for you.

Ahhh Michael Adams what I would do to have you back in that dugout. Only one who could tame Norman £murthwait€

Hopefully knocks there confidence but we need a win, even if we shithouse it like Morecambe style... look at what shithousing a win Saturday has done for them. We must get 7 points from the next 4 games and as one is Mansfield then need two wins and a draw from Cheltenham, Notts and Yeovil.

Do that and we can try and scab five or six points from the last 9 games.

Aye the 1-1 was a rearranged game after a frozen pitch called it off 2 weeks before. Great Tuesday Night game and atmosphere. Played like absolute gash until Artell scored an unfortunate own goal and then we woke up and battered the Vale goal until Byron Moore tapped it in after Miller hit the post. Also remember a shithouse job we did at Vale Park as a kid when Brett Angell I think scored an equaliser after Vale battered us all game only for us to nick it late on with Hulsey in fine form.

Looking at the NL, the closest we might get to a derby next season is Chesterfield unless Stockport, Chester or Alti get back up.

We'll still be there, don't worry about that.

Solihull Moors is close to me if they don’t go up. Guess once the initial upset is over it will be like our relegation to this level in 2008 for the first time in decades where I will be looking at all the new grounds I can try and do and we will do our usual opening day win and think this could be alright.. then get done at home to Dover or something and the reality will sink in.

Hopefully Smurf let’s us keep Miller... ready made 40 goal man at that level!
