We have almost as batshit crazy past as Notts but the thought of Bury fans running the club is even more frightening.
Good luck Notts, hate to see any team (even NOBLOT) is this state

Interestingly the administrators of Paragon have been talking to local media and say they support efforts to find a buyer for the club. Hearing it from them (as opposed to Hardy/Notts) gives me a tiny bit more faith that there might be a solution. I'm not sure they'd be willing to wait on calling the debt in otherwise as their first priority is obviously to the creditors of Paragon.

The administrators will be lucky to get £500,000 out of Notts if they wind us up, of course they want to assist the club in being sold.
No way will they get anywhere near £7 million out of us.

I'm struggling to see why any sane person would want to buy County? They're losing a fortune ('easy' to sort, just cut your cloth) but besides that, asset wise there's basically nothing?

That’s not true Luke but i understand why you said that.

I've always had a soft sport for the underdogs in two club cities out of solidarity but I didn't realise how alike us and Vale are.

How could you not spot it Kim?

I’ve said we’re like the much nicer twin of Vale on here for ages. Without the most similar and comparable club to ours. We’ve just had more success looking back through the years

Aye, only real difference is Notts have enjoyed some time in the top flight whereas we've only really come close to it once. Other than that our trajectories have largely been the same over the last twenty years certainly.

Both played in a European Final... all be it we were a tad unlucky to face Vincenzo Montella...

Let’s hope somehow neither club falls out the league... sad to think it is well within possibility that Saturdays fixture could be a battle of the big guns of non league football next season.

I proposed to my missus in Sainsbury’s car park
#whosaysromanceisdead

Sainsbury's? Never realised you were such a posh c***, more of a Lidl man myself 6 bottles of Perlenbacher and 4 donuts for £5.59. Top stuff.

You get me wrong old boy, it was around midnight and we’d been for a meal and a few drinks and walking home we cut through Sainsbury’s car park, and pissed up I decided to propose. :bg:

Montella? What about star of USA 94 Hagi and German international Bierhoff

Great days, great memories and above all not the checkatrade thingy

I saw us in the top flight, yes only one season but I’ve never enjoyed a relegation season more. Old Trafford first game of the season. Thank you very much

Will never see it again in my lifetime

Shame it stopped, these days those Ryanair flights to the Italian outposts of Ascoli and Brindisi would be quite useful.

There isn't a Sainsbury's in Grimsby anyway. I reckon it was a Poundstretcher which he just remembers as being a Sainsbury's because it's the poshest shop in all Grimsby.

Old Trafford was great, but my favourite away match that season was the City Ground. Forest absolutely battered us, should have won about 5-0, but we scored with our only chance of the game and came away with a 1-1 draw. Brian Clough was livid. I actually think I enjoyed that more than beating them at Meadow Lane a few years later.

Anyway, latest rumour on the Notts front is that a local consortium including former director Ian Roberts is preparing a bid.

It was fun in the Bridgford end when Dryden’s equaliser went in. I think I ended up 20 yards nearer the front than where I started. #safestanding

Interesting that almost to a man the Morecambe fans on their main forum think they'll win easily at our place tomorrow. There also appears to be some bloke from Oldham on there who is obsessed with calling us a dirty team of thugs. Bless him.

I'd just ignore Paul Scholes, he can get a bit emotional.

Stop with the nice memories!
I was stood almost behind a floodlight but once we scored I was in front so could see better!
Remember Stuart Pearce's free kick, cleared the goal and hit the 2nd tier behind! When everyone thought he'd score.

Surprised she could hear him over all the revving and bass coming off all the chavvy little car wankers modded Fiestas and Imprezas they were showing off/racing in the car park tbh.

The main difference with this season between Vale and County is that Hardy at least was shooting at the moon but missed wildly, whereas Smurf seemed to be aiming at his foot and proved an accurate shot, the clown.

Yeah I would agree there, Hardy at least tried and failed rather than Smurf's self destruct!

Morecambe are only still in this division because there always seems to be at least two bigger clubs than them pressing the self destruct button. This season there’s even 4 at it.

They’ve been doing that for the last 4/5 years.

It’s like Dagenham, once they go down you’ll never see them again

We did indeed get dominated and hammered that day . If you ever see the footage of the away end celebrating I’ve never seen a better Notts reaction to a goal. Was utter mayhem . I need to find that clip

Once Jim Bentley moves on you'll never see them for dust as they slip through to the glue leagues - if they last that long.

But Jim's still there so I'm not counting on them to bail us out this season.

I was only 12 and my dad wouldn't let me anywhere near the Bridgford End that day. Had to sit in the Main Stand with my mum (who's a Forest fan). Got a great view of the chaos though.
