As a complete outsider I think the story of Yeovil's rise and sadly decline has been phenominal. You don't eat babies in Yeovil do you?

I really hope you're right. The first thing Neale Marmon has done as temporary manager is make all training sessions open to the public. He obviously understands how important the fans will be over the next few weeks, which is great to see.

You've been in God awful form since well before Christmas though, why leave it until there are only a handful of games left and you are just a few points clear of the bottom two. Not only that, but a defeat at MK Dons is an odd straw to break the camels back so to speak.

i agree King Kev, made similar point. Surely after losing 0-5 to Vale and Macc combined in two relegation 6 pointers then he had to go at 5-00 pm after lost to Macc.

Not in my wildest dreams suggesting they'd of got anything at MK with a new manager but it does seem odd timing.

Sad though that another ex-player gets tainted a bit.
Why do they do it !!!!

A couple of the home fixtures are very winnable so who knows it may pay dividends.
The bottom 5 have now dispensed with managers.
Morecambe the only exception at the bottom.

We enhanced our bid to be mid table champions last week at Cheltenham by replacing our 2 away on international duty and one key player injured with youth team players!
We've Vale this week who are still desperately trying to gain sufficient points to be confirmed safe? Will the returning players make a difference?

Three big games this weekend:

Lincoln v Macc
Stevenage v Notts
Yeovil v Newport

On paper Yeovil’s is probably the most ‘winnable’, followed by us, then Macc. I think we’ll know after this game if our lot were knocked out by last Saturday’s devastating defeat - if (big if) we see a reaction, against a Stevenage side who by all accounts were pretty poor at Macc, it could put us back within one game of getting out the drop zone. But an insipid Cheltenham-style defeat and the writing would be on the wall.

Will Yeovil see a bounce now Way has gone? Newport have had two weeks off and might fancy their chances of sneaking into the play offs. Plus they may wish to avenge their 6-0 defeat earlier in the season. Notts fans will be hoping they repeat their performance at ML last month that killed off our momentum.

As for Macc - if they get anything at Sincil Bank they deserve to stay up!

Marmon has made our training sessions open to the public, there were a fair few there on Monday & yesterday and you can see from the photos how the players already look happier, brighter and relieved - it's like a dark cloud has gone and the tension has lifted. It remains to be seen if this transfers to the pitch but it's a definite positive.

Just another normal day at MTFC. All 3 teams at the bottom deserve relegating.

According to our manager, we are still in the running for the play-offs, we only need "6 wins and a draw from our last 6". Like his positivity and optimism but.....
Still believe that we will get a result today, especially with out internationals back in the line-up.

Big game for us, the most winnable away game left and with our away record I’m hopeful we can get at least a point, if we can keep yet another away clean sheet we will have a chance of all three.

Hopefully as they have nothing to play for realistically they won’t fancy our high press! I’d be tempted now fit to play the Pontiff in this.

We could lose and be seven points clear still or draw and only be five potentially so other results are in the mixer now, essentially id take losing if Notts and Macc lose over drawing and one of them winning! It’s all about the gap.

Definitely admire the optimism. If that happens am putting the house on you winning the playoffs.

Not got the happiest of memories of games at Sixfields. Last time we went there thought we were somehow about to shithouse our way to a draw before some 30 yarder in the last couple of minutes. Think that was the night knew we were going to go down from League 1.
