We always concede, never look like scoring and never get more than one. We deserve to drop we've been awful most of the season. We looked better than last week but still a division below the Dons who themselves weren't spectacular.
There's absolutely no belief among the fans that we're staying up at all, it Maccs to lose.

So here are my predictions, this is it we may as well not bother going to any games now...

Crawley Town 1 Notts County 1
Macclesfield 2 Newport 2
Yeovil 0 Colchester 0

Northampton 2 Yeovil 0
Notts County 2 Grimsby 1
Port Vale 1 Macclesfield 1

Macclesfield 3 Cambridge 2
Swindon 2 Notts County 1
Yeovil 1 Carlise 1

Macclesfield ----44
Notts County-----41
Yeovil-----39

Although we have to play them yet, I would be sorry to see Notts County, a founder member, go out of the league. I had no issue with them once they sacked Kewelless. It turned out they did us a favour - took away a pillock and possibly gave us some money for the privilege.

Yep the fight has gone from our lot. On paper it’s a chance to get something for all three games but will lost two of the three and get relegated for the first time in our log proud history. Bad times

Couldn’t accuse us of a lack of fight today tbf. We were more negative than I would’ve liked but played alright only to concede from a corner for the 47th time this season.

I think we’ve got to beat Crawley and then Grimsby now. It’s not inconceivable, I guess, but not very likely.

You’ll get a win out of one of those mate, surely.

Would have been ideal if you’d have held MK for us, but hey.

Grimsby is where you get your points

We were awful today and picked up a few injuries just to make things worse. I expect we will lose on Monday so Notts and Yeovil will have a chance to escape escape the bottom two if either of them finally manage to win.

Very hard to call what will happen now. Notts have the easier run in but Macc have the points on the board. Can't think of a redeeming factor for Yeovil.

Not seen two poorer teams this season than Yeovil and Notts County in the last week. At this stage of the season, when teams usually start having one last dig for survival, it's a worry. I'd be surprised if either of them turned it round.

What I don’t get is how Yeovil are down there, we’re 2nd and they’ve taken 4 points from us, and have looked pretty decent in both, whereas notts beat us for the first time in 532 attempts that performance along with their showing at Mansfield which was shocking and then macc who were decent at the moss rose but let down by poor defending at field mill.

I don’t think any of the sides appeared genuinely crap - and I know what a side looks like that goes down there.

Yeovil are down there because they lost twice against a poor team like us without scoring.

True, but it doesn’t always work like that, we’re quite obviously statistically better that you but you were much better than us at your place, I was really impressed - I guess the frequency of those performances is the issue

We played Yeovil just after we played you, and it was very one sided. You looked capable, but had one or two players missing which helped us I guess.

Play like we did in the 2nd half today against Newport and our goal difference will be worse than Notts County's by the end of the day.

We’re almost mathematically safe, I think we’ll get there on Monday. Welcome consolation for a dreadful season.

I can’t see Yeovil getting out of it as they seem to be the poorest of the three and their run in is the toughest.

I think Macclesfield have the nicest run in of the three though Notts isn’t far off. I can see Macclesfield winning at least one game, it depends on whether Notts can win two or three. Seems unlikely on current form but you never know as teams start getting desperate. I still think it’s the balance.

In all fairness between August to Mid December and March onwards we’ve been a decent mid table side the issue was the diabolical form Boxing Day to End of Feb, those two months we nose dived and Aspin lost the plot, along with injuries to Pope and Oyeleke for instance. I’m just glad to get safe as I worried we wouldn’t stop that slide.

Yeovil are down there because they were miles worse than us on both occasions so assuming those games are their general standard bar the odd game they’ve been miles away the worst side we’ve faced, the two worst performances of any opposition so far was Yeovil Away and Yeovil at home and could of hit them for six or seven at their gaffe.

Oddly they seem to have a good hammering of someone in there somewhere but from the games I’ve seen them I’ve no idea how they managed to hit Newport for six.

Notts is an oddity, on paper not a bad side but maybe too many old players? Our side last season with Tonge, Kay and Pugh in midfield...
Shudder... no pace, fitness an issue. Would storm the league six or seven years ago type squad.

Don’t seem to have many players in what you’d call their prime, mainly youngsters or players like Stead, CMS, Doyle, O’Brien, Duffy etc well in their 30s now.

Macclesfield if they go down will simply pay for a dire start. Even a slightly below average start and they’d be safe now.

I was worried that we’d get dragged back in looking at our remaining fixtures ahead of last week but none of the three have really had a desperate last stand like say Barnet last season. Yeovil will go, they’ve the hardest run in. Just can’t call the other, Notts could easily get six points from the next two,

Macclesfield have a toughy, Newport in form and now right in with a top 7 chance with that game in hand too, then have an on the beach Vale and Cambridge...

Can’t call it. Monday is huge for Notts. Lose that and you’d have to fancy Macclesfield to do it.

Think ours and Macc’s run-ins are pretty comparable, but with them having two extra points and a better GD, you’d have to make them favourites. If they can get a win and a draw we’d have to get 7 from our last 3. I think we need to win our next 2 really, away at now-safe Crawley and at home to Grimsby, who seem to be falling apart as the season ends. Not impossible, we’ve beaten better this season, but at the moment it feels pretty unlikely.

Who got injured for Macc today?

No need to apologise, we kinda know that ourselves already.

I’ve not really seen us this season (silver lining) but I get a couple of independent reliable match reports from friends or family after every game and we’ve been underwhelming to awful all season with a light sprinkling of good mixed in.

We won’t win the next two, we don’t win back to back games. It’s over

Cameron, Stephens and Smith - don't know how serious any of them are yet. Plus Pearson was already missing and Rose and Whitaker can't play two games in one weekend meaning we might have a few selection problems on Monday.

You kinda looked wank last week drawing 1–1, though we were equally wank, if you beat someone playing like that I’d be really really concerned for them

Can't quite get over how continually poor we are. We huffed and puffed yesterday but the Dons always had a bit more poise and some clue as to how to unlock a defence.
Ardley who I keep defending never does a double substitution to shake it up, only subs after we've conceded doing a like for like, continues to pick certain out of form players and has persisted with Doyle taking around 100 set pieces without us scoring from any.
worst defence in the league, most points dropped from a winning position, second worst home form, the awful stats just keep coming.
We're going down its felt like it since the Newport game and I've seen nothing to suggest that Ardley will shake them up and give it a right go for the last three matches.
Plod ball to the end.

Our players have given up the fight, in fact they did it long ago.

We desperately need someone like Carl Dickinson back to give the team some passion but the club ostracised him a couple of months ago so he will never play or even train for us again despite being contracted for another year. He watched yesterday's game at Crewe in the stand with the fans!

Should we somehow manage to survive, it will be through the luck of Yeovil and Notts somehow being even shitter than we are. Even then there would be absolutely fuck all to celebrate about this season. We should never have been in this situation but the complete fuck up by our owner forcing Askey (and then resulting in decent players following suit) out last summer and abortion that followed requires all those accountable being held to task.

This club needs a severe change in direction this summer no matter league we're come August.

Very true, thankfully we sometimes play better than that else we'd have been relegated long ago. At least it was an improvement on our last performance against Northampton....

Good job we had a very good middle half of the season, after 10 games we were in a relegation fight with just five points.

Haven't won in our last 10 games either but still somehow 13 points above relegation!
