Mini league of five up to Morecambe I think.
We got a good point at Lincoln today but we still don't score enough goals and arnt winning games. Notts look like there going down but it only takes abit of a run like what Cheltenham are on now to get out of it.
Cheltenham looked alright against us in fairness. Think they struggle at home mind.
Cambridge were poor at our place but that was the opening day and Yeovil well another level of poorness against us.
If I had to say now I would say Notts County and Yeovil to go.
I hope your ok ,must admit i think calderwood is a brilliant appointment ,used to see him in nottingham quite a bit ,classy blokeWe were abysmal today. Looked like half the team were out on the piss last night in Cambridge.
I just hope there are two worse than us but I'm not sure who.

Yeovil won’t drop I don’t think. They’ve shown they are capable of performing by handing out some thrashings. Get rid of Way and they should settle.

It's genuinely saddening to see traditional league teams drop into the conference. Particularly while the likes of Fleetwood and Burton are still swanning around...
Bloody hell... well I stand corrected. The more you know...Cambridge Utd weren’t even a league club until 1970!
I don't know enough about Fleetwood but i've seen enough about Burton on & off the field to know they thoroughly deserve to be where they are. There are a lot of long-established league outfits (and certainly us) who could learn a hell of a lot about how to run a successful football club.
Burton have been excellently ran I agree, they have not really spent money in the way Fleetwood have for example either. An example of what can be achieved without big money.
I don’t begrudge Burton as a league side as they clearly aren’t a bank rolled/village club like Forest Green etc.. Fleetwood have spent big and are bank rolled but in fairness they have some pretty solid infrastructure now with a new training ground and I believe are fairly well set up now.
Crawley were pretty dislikable in the Evans days when they threw money at it but they seemed to have settled since and seem fairly humble.

Burton were lucky that year to be fair. They totally collapsed after Clough went to Derby and beat us to the league by two points. One of their few wins Feb onwards came when they played Weymouth who were in administration and who fielded a youth team - they beat them 5-0. We’d already played them twice that season before they went into admin, one of our results was a 0-0 draw. Expunged results would have seen us promoted instead.I think Burton did have a bit of luck when in the conference to get out when they did - Fleetwood were still knocking around in the conference north the season they won it, Oxford were 7th, us (12th) and Wrexham (10th) had came down the season before in all sorts of financial bother. Histon (remember them!? - suppose the Cambridge fans would) finished in the play-offs!
A good manager and a solid chairman to boot

Not that I hold a grudge or anything.....
Burton benefitted from playing man united. Gave them a nice platform.

Interesting factoid. Only London has had more distinct league clubs across its history than Burton-upon-Trent.
Admittedly none of the 4 Burton teams to play league football did so at the same time as each other, and the high number is due to a string of clubs who tried and failed to establish football in the town before Albion eventually succeeded, but Burton Town, Burton Swifts and Burton United were all league clubs.
