Obviously I've no idea who he is, but these are the right kind of signings - players that've done it at 'senior' level in non-league and earned a move to a bigger club. I would've liked us to go in for the winger Danny Rowe, as he's seemingly out of contract since being released from Ipswich.

We've also signed defender Tom Davies on loan from Brizzle Rovers, interesting one as I thought the defence is one of the areas we have decent strength in depth, and it was a solid 4 at the back that was required rather than a change in personnel.

And Tom Davies comes in too!

Seemingly been a good player at this level and League 1, but been out all season injured. Any good?

I think his intention is still to play 5-3-2 (looks like Jolley's always done that), and Saturday was kind of half-way between a back 4 and a back 5, if that's possible. Perhaps Brough is going to be considered more a left wing back.

We’re set to sign Nick Freeman on loan from Wycombe.

25 and the sort of player our midfield needs - someone a bit more dynamic. As good as Craig Clay, Jobi McAnuff and Ouss Cisse can be on their days, none of them are the most mobile. So to get a 25 year old CM in was needed.

If we sell Mullin in January I wouldn’t mind stockley as a replacement. Had him very briefly in our first season up and he did OK but Richard Money obviously wasn’t having him. Probably too good for L2 now though
You leave him alone. He's my imaginary signing!

On a serious note our dof reckons we have one more due in and possibly 3 out on loan.

Ive no idea who.

Tom Davies is very good and injury permitting will no doubt be one of the best central defenders in the 4th. Only reason we let him go is because of his injuries and the size of our squad. ie \If he was'nt injured there is no way he would have gone out on loan.

Jordan Maguire-Drew incoming to Crawley.

Put on the official preview to tomorrow nights game but now removed.

Leyton Orient 2nd eleven....or 3rd because they couldn't get into Orient reserves.

Mansfield, we’ve signed Rollin Menayese on loan from you. Go ahead, tell us how bad he is.

you really, really, really don’t want to know.

Obviously i wish him well, but i can’t see him starting a game for us again. played in a back 3 and 4, was marginally better in the back 4

There is a player in him, I wouldn’t be suprised to see him getting assists and goals for you.

But as E10Rifle already alluded to, his tackling, tracking back and decision making at times can be questionable. It’s almost as if something hasn’t quite dropped in his mind that you can have all the talent in the world but you also have to put the graft and ugly side of the game in as well.

He did well in a few games he was called upon this season and has scored twice, if Yems and Bradbury can do what they did with Max Watters I see no reason why he can’t do well for you. He can play on either wing on the number ten role, IMO he was better cutting inside from the right and crossing with his left.

He played his part in getting us out of the NL, but Embleton this season has decided that he can’t work with him any more despite his good attacking stats on paper the last 2 years.

Barrow trying for Jamie Devitt according to Alan Nixon.

Would be an unreal signing for them. Wouldn’t have minded us getting him back but we don’t really need a ‘number 10’ type player with the way we play.

Our forums suggesting Ollie Banks to Barrow is on. Anything heard from Cumbria about this one?

Devitt was really good when he was here, not a very good dancer though as we found out away at Mansfield with Ross Hannah about to take a free kick and Devitt started dancing in front of the Mansfield wall trying to put them off. :eyes:

Our management duo of Yems and Bradbury seem to be getting the best out of all our signings this season, and also the rest of the squad have improved. With all the fixture coming up their will be consistent changes of starting line ups and formations which the players seem to be extremely comfortable with. We as supporters can't predict what our starting Xl will be and we watch them all the time. Watters will be missed, but not to the extent that we won't score goal - Nichols and Nadesan are just as capable to carry on doing that - We are on a good unbeaten run at the moment and obviously want that to continue for the foreseeable future. But as we all know results don't always go your way.

Strange because there’s some decent words for him from your fans. Not that I expected to get a decent answer from any of the Mansfield fans on here mind you. We just need him to be quick.

Maguire-Drew now confirmed on loan until the end of the season.

Checked on Wikipedia and he is actually a Crawley lad....he might be in the highest league of anyone from Crawley but I wouldn't swear to that.

Can't see it, personally. We had a good look at signing him in the summer but couldn't make it work then.
Also, I thought he was looking at more game time for Newport since Twine left?

Wind ya neck in mate.

He came from Bristol Rovers with split views, either he’s rubbish or has the potential to become a good player, and you’ll get the same response from Mansfield fans.

He was absolutely shambolic under Coughlan, although most of the team was, he did stand out for being particularly shit, that being said - I personally don’t feel like I’ve seen him enough to completely write him off.

Hope he does well, he definitely has some attributes to do it, although Clough clearly doesn’t rate him and that’s a bad sign.

Barrow doing the type of business they should have been doing in the summer. Players who’ve actually played a bit at football league level. These types of signings will keep them up imo.

Very pleased by today's business. Jolley's recruited better in one day than Dunn managed all summer.

Not convinced with Devitt, excels at Carlisle to earn a L1 move, got rid of instantly to us where he barely kicked a ball, can’t get another L1 side to end up at Newport where he’s on his way out of already seemingly to one of the leagues minnows. I don’t mean that to sound as disrespectful as it does, my point being why no one higher up wants him.

Robert Smith from The Cure was 6 years old I think when his family left Blackpool behind to move to Crawley. Does that count or does one have to be Crawley born and bred in order to qualify?

For this level Devitt is very good in my opinion. When he consistently plays somewhere, he’s produced. Both for Morecambe and Carlisle. Goals and assists.
