Give the guy benefit of doubt until he plays but seems to be mixed comments from his previous clubs.

Only thing seems to be he played for stags when they were below us in the table then new manager comes in and drops him and they rise up the table. Not all down to him being dropped sure though. He also seems to be pacy apparently so dropping Pollock for a bit which is his weakness might do us some good.

Anyway it's strikers and creative midfielders we need rather than defenders, sure not conceding will help but 0-0s till the end of the season won't help either.

Strange because there’s some decent words for him from your fans. Not that I expected to get a decent answer from any of the Mansfield fans on here mind you. We just need him to be quick.

A question was asked, an answer was given, i would have preferred he was decent for mansfield, sadly he wasn’t, though as conker said most of the side was abject under coughlan -eg shite.

Nice to see things went well for you and Ian holloway though, marriage made in heaven or something we were told, oh dear.

As said in the original post, i wish him all the best hopefully he’ll settle in and do well for grimsby

Barrow doing the type of business they should have been doing in the summer. Players who’ve actually played a bit at football league level. These types of signings will keep them up imo.

Agreed, always thought they’d stop on home form given barrow is seemingly halfway to iceland.

Some good, solid signings.

Done deal.
Ollie must have made a good impression in those 5 minutes at the end of December.

He's an infuriating player, can be very good, go missing or get himself off for stupid challenges. At his best, can deliver the killer pass and score spectacular, if infrequent goals. Hope the move works out for him.

RM is quite quick but his main problem is that he switches off and lets in the attackers. He does not seem to read the game especially when playing on right in a back three. It didn’t help that his right wing back was also caught out up field all to often.

When he played the one game under Clough in a back four, I thought he played very well. He had Sweeney at the side of him talking to him and putting him right though.

Done deal.

That’s Barrow staying up then!
Like a lot of good players at this level he is inconsistent. Overall in his time at Tranmere he has made a positive impact.

He's got to be an upgrade on Harrison Biggins, so he'll do for me.

Robert Smith from The Cure was 6 years old I think when his family left Blackpool behind to move to Crawley. Does that count or does one have to be Crawley born and bred in order to qualify?
I did mean footballers :) but I'd accept Robert because he brought me a beer in the Kings Head once.

Its actually a bug bear of mine. The lack of professional footballers from Crawley. Its a town of 120k people with plenty of pitches to play on but we don't seem to have many.

Barrow doing what we did when we came up. Get to January, realise the a lot of the players that got you up are not good enough to keep you up and then bring in some solid league 2 experience. It worked for us expect it will for Barrow too.

I think Barrow had enough about them that they would be ok....Think losing Evatt may have initially thrown them, but i think they miss John Rooney more.
Build on this year and aim for mid table next season.

We actually did the opposite and let most of ours go and it was working pretty good too as we were in the play offs until Hurst’s head got turned by the glamour of Shrewsbury Town.

Couple of rumours suggesting we’ve gone back in for Will Grigg. We tried last season but he turned us down because he didn’t want to drop into pits of League Two. He’s sidelined at the minute for another couple of weeks, and it’s thought prior to his injury, talks were in advanced stages.

Rather ironic that Charlie Wyke, ex City lad, keeps Grigg out of the team currently (injury aside).

We're rumoured to be signing striker Josh Davison on loan from Charlton. We're the second lowest scorers in the top 10 and need some extra firepower, this lad has done pretty well on loan at Woking so hope he can carry that on here if he signs.

Tav Campbell has gone on loan to Halifax for the rest of the season. There's a player there itching to break out, but it's telling that he hasn't really settled anywhere yet.

Hoping this means we have someone coming in imminently, although apparently we're struggling to get new signings over the line.

Made a couple of sub appearances for us. Didn't see enough of him to form an opinion as to whether he was any good.
