Seems we may be re-signing Anthony Grant when things are sorted. Man of the Match almost every game when we won the title a year ago. Bit older, but still way good enough in L2.
man of the match every week you are stretching it a bit when you had Doyle and Yates up front

ID is stretching nothing. Despite the goals of Doyle and Yates, Grant's all energy performances in midfield yielded plenty of man of the match awards (certainly in the games I attended certainly) and he also was the club's player of the season when we got promoted.

Hmmmm i was going to give you the benefit of the doubt until i looked up the 2019/20 pfa team of the year and both Yates and Doyle selected but no grant.

Very good player, just questioning if he was mom in there promotion season
Good signing if he extends as i am certain he would have offers elsewhere even at his age

From the STFC Player of the Year Awards

I see Anthony Grant won it by a fair margin in the end. 50% of the total vote with 43% going to Doyle.

Thats some compliment for a holding midfielder to beat a striker that scored in 11 consecutive matches breaking a near 100 year old record, who scored a hattrick and finished with 25 goals from 29 appearances in all competitions and still not be POTY.

I remember him getting the team player of the year, but he was not mom every week.....The stats tell you that
Yes he had a great season but both Doyle and Yates had a better season.
No coincidence that they both was in the lge2 team of the year and the following year they both was in the pfa teams of the year in lge 2 and 1
It looked like he was off so its good news for Swindon

Which was why I said ‘almost’.

The fact that the fans who watched the team every week picked Grant tells you Doyle and Yates we’re behind him. There could be no bias from our own fans.

I think Grant is important off the pitch also. He seemed to be very well liked to the other players. Now Caddis has gone we need an experienced head to get us through what is going to be a tough season.

I doubt them - but am bored so posting the rumour anyway....

If finance is going to be a bit tight after Clem has paid off all Power’s debts I can see Grant/Caddis returning as player/manager/coach/assistant manager, whatever. Experience of the club and two jobs for the price of one!

Goalkeeper Lukas Jensen in on loan at Carlisle from Burnley. Hopefully he’ll provide good competition to Magnus Norman.

From rumours I have heard the new assistant is an experienced player so could either be Grant or Caddis right enough.

Jay Spearing?! :fl:
I was sitting in a pub talking to his wifes parents on friday. They said he is looking forward to playing under Micky Mellon when i asked about him. They also said that he was resting after a gruelling week at a training camp.

King of the Dark Arts looks to sign ace renowed diver. There`s is a surprise. I`m still amazed he didn`t try to get Josh Ladabie as well.

Timothee Dieng confirmed on 1 year deal. Hopefully he will prove a good signing but low risk if he turns out shite.

Apparently Matt is on £1100 a week here, could Barrow match that?
