In an interview after our friendly last night Lewis Young (our full back/ winger for the last four seasons or so) said he is now a coach at Crawley and thanked the club for giving him the opportunity earlier than he thought he would need.

From that I'm presuming he has been forced to retire from playing due to injury. He didn't play at all last season.

What's Mansfield's crack? Is it part of the masterplan to sign players you don't plan to use and then loan them out to other L2 clubs until every one of your opponents has a key player or two they can't pick for games against Mansfield.

Once we've all stopped laughing at the responses to this the answer to your first question is no, there is nobody from Harrogate, anywhere. Word on the street is they don't like the chairman and getting promoted to the league was the final straw.

Well 'Grimsby's second best centre back of 2020/21' is hardly a ringing endorsement. I understand he was better than most of the dross you were lumbered with though, and remember you being pretty adequate in defence.

The side we had when Menayese was here would’ve comfortably stayed up if it had played the whole season together, we improved a lot with him here and started winning games but of course the damage had already been done with Hollow-words abysmal recruitment.

No chance you're getting Dodoo - he was a star player in League 1 in the second half of last season.

Seems we may be re-signing Anthony Grant when things are sorted. Man of the Match almost every game when we won the title a year ago. Bit older, but still way good enough in L2.

We've signed right back Tom James on a one year contract after his release from Hibs. Spent the first half of last season on loan at Wigan before finishing it and barely playing with Nerdford in our league.

We Just need a striker, a winger and probably one more midfielder and we'll be close to finished I'd say.
