Shrewsbury maybe?

I think the biggest problem with him in the past is he is on an absolute wedge at Sunderland. Even if he would be willing to drop to L2 you can rule us out as an option there. Probably same for Walsall even with the obvious links. Probably won’t stop your owner implying it knowing full well he won’t join though. All of which is a long way of saying he’ll be pictured holding a Salford scarf next week.

He will be well off enough to lower his demands you’d think and would probably need Sunderland to pay him up or settle if they really want him off their wage bill.

Not sure on his performance levels these days though if he isn’t get much of a look in at a league one side.

Worth pointing out Shrewsbury almost signed Grigg in January but he did the dirty on them to go to MK Dons and that made Cotterill and his coaching staff very, very angry. I think he's burned too many bridges to sign for them...

According to Alan Nixon Omar Bogle is coming here, not done much in recent years albeit at a far higher level than this. I’d take him as competition for Cook.

he scored 8 in 14 games on loan at MK the second half of last season so he's still capable at that level the reason he didn't sign for them was due to the location apparently as I said earlier he's said to want to move near home.

You might be able to help with a debate I'm having on a Rovers forum. I reckon your budget is one of the bigger in L2 after Salford and Mansfield and well ahead of Rovers. Have you any idea where Bradford stand in the budget league table? We're reportedly interested in Bogle too, but little chance if your really after him.

Bradford's wage bill must be huge if they can afford to sign Omar Bogle as well as the rest of their squad

If they sign Bogle, in addition to Cook and Angol, their budget is bigger than ours. However, it is highly unlikely that ours is outside the top third and lower than Port Vale's, as you have claimed.

For the record, I haven't claimed anything about Port Vale's budget, just said their squad was bigger than ours.

That would depend on what you think our budget is. The club keep that kind of thing quite close to their chests other than occasionally DC or Flitcroft will mention they’ve been happy with the support from the board.

I wouldn’t know mate, think Firthy knows more than me with behind the scenes stuff.

We got rid of a few high earners that were on top end league 1 wages of around 3,4,5k so that will have freed a lot up. Also we budgeted for 11,000 season tickets and got around 12,750, should be one of the higher was around £2.7 mil last season and meant to be lower but doubt much lower. Around £2-2.5 mil I’d guess. Is that a lot at this level? It was around £4.5 mil the season we ended bottom in league 1 and was said the be the 5th highest.

Our club have history of playing our budgets down early season, but I’d say top 3.

And thereby implied they had a bigger budget.......

Think it’s down on last season, Novak gone, Donaldson gone, Connor Wood, Anthony O’Connor... Ryan Sparks discusses it with MacAnthony on his podcast the other week, said one of the strikers (no names given, likely to be Angol?) said his wages reflected that of a bit part player but still signed.

You may have implied that. My comments about Vale were in terms of squad depth, I didn't disagree with your assertion that the Rovers squad was probably higher quality.

Bradford took two of our highest earners in Eisa and Gilliead that we couldn't afford to keep, I can't imagine they took a paycut to go to Bradford.

Add to that our season ticket price increased by around 33% too, so I'm assuming financially we're much better off than previous seasons.

I made a comment about a sign on a slagheap not being as glamourous as the lake discrict. That nasty piece of shit insulted the entire female population of Birkenhead and then my mother and i am supposed to apologise to that. He can go fuck himself.

Was just speaking to Jay Spearing's wife's mother and father and they said Tranmere is a shithole and Jay hates it there.

Just can't stop gossiping those two
He also said there a far too many letters in sCUNThorpe.

This season i have had no issues in lge 1... yet now i have gone , he has turned his attention to another person another team,
Always said debate football with me and i will do likewise............attack me and i give as much as i take

No need to bring my name in to this.............Have a good day

Scunny to Bradford. What mass murderers were they in their previous life?

What do rovers fans make of this?

All I know on this is one of my Wolves supporting mates absolutely despised Leon Clarke, never heard him say an even remotely positive thing about him ever. Whelan could be a decent addition, was always a clever player while he was at the shit. Not sure whether Rovers will have the room to fit them in though in terms of the squad limit size.

Leon Clarke and Brett Pitman up front would be an incredible sight.
